This is bad news. They are my favorite vendor, I spent about a thousand dollars in them in about a year; and I just found out that they won't carry their own powders anymore. They will only sell their current stock, and then carry only third party brands.

Can anybody suggest an alternative? They carry most of the herbs and supplements mentioned in this forum, and a lot more.

That's too bad, they had good prices. Maybe purebulk? nacetylglucosamine is particularly hard to find at a decent price is bulk powder.

Wow that sucks.

The following stores should be happy since they're going to get my business now:

purebulk.com
cerebralhealth.com
superiornutraceuticals.com
bulkfoods.com
truenutrition.com

You are right, it sucks. Nobody has a pomegranate powder/pill that he carried. I came close, but pay more. My regimen is based on BAC. It does suck.

Purebulk has pomegranate, and it's 40% ellagic acid like BAC's. Isn't that the same? But, it is a little more expensive.

There's only a handful of things that purebulk doesn't have that BAC had, of what I used to buy at least. Some things are more, a few things are cheaper. It has worked out to be very close to the same amount for me.

The big thing I will miss is that I was taking pure forms of the supplement. Now I am taking more pills with chalk in them, and capsules with nonsupplements to occupy empty space and to make the powders free flowing and easy to fill. The chalk feels like a rock in my stomach, and I am sure that absorption is affected.

Yes, ellagic acid is easy to find and buy.. BAC still has the stuff he bottled, he is not sold out of ellagic acid yet. But this was P40 40% . The p stands for punicalagins. That was the form used in studies that found pomegranate extract protects epitheilial tissue. Swanson has a pomegranate punicoside capsule, but I so that is what I am using now.

Wikipedia "Many food and dietary supplement makers use pomegranate phenolic extracts as ingredients in their products instead of the juice. One of these extracts is ellagic acid, which may become bioavailable only after parent molecule punicalagins are metabolized. However, ingested ellagic acid from pomegranate juice does not accumulate in the blood in significant quantities and is rapidly excreted.[48] Accordingly, ellagic acid from pomegranate juice does not appear to be biologically important in vivo.

PureBulk is great, I really appreciate the chance to buy pregnenolone and melatonin there.

Oh yeah, P40p. I forgot they had that. Someone should sell that in powder form again.

I found some 40% punicosides pomegranate extract at badmonkeybotanicals.com. I don't know if it's P40p brand.

They have a nice selection. I hadn't seen them before.

Morkfromork, have you ever looked into sourcing a mulungu extract? Mulungu is a pretty potent botanical, but it isn't very available in America. If you got a high quality extract that worked well it could become a very good seller.

I notice BAC keeps slowly bringing back more and more of their old powders with their "Pure Value" label. I wonder if the regulatory burden was the real reason they had decided to no longer package and label their own products back in 2013? I still don't buy anything from them anymore. I completely switched from BAC to PureBulk, NutriCargo, PowderCity, and Badmonkey. There's only one thing I still can't get in powder form that I used to get from BAC, and that's Benfotiamine powder. Vitaspace sells it, but it's twice as expensive as capsules.

Beyond A Century Closeouts

March 1, 2013

To Our Friends & Valued Customers

Because of the ever-increasing regulatory environment and the associated burden on a small company like Beyond A Century it is with much regret that we have decided to no longer package and label our own line of products. At this point products under our label will be limited to current inventory, however we do plan to replace as many of our products as possible with suitable replacements from other brands. Over the last 30 years we have built great relationships with a number of finished-product suppliers and from these fine suppliers we intend to source the best replacements available for our powders.

While there will be products going out of stock in the coming months, at the same time we will have many new listings being added. Some will be direct replacements, others will be entirely new products for us, all with the aim at providing a similar value to what we have done for three decades now.

We apologize in advance if the product you like is out of stock. You can email us or call us if you would like more information or have suggestions!

We truly appreciate your understanding and especially your support during this time of transition.

Thank you from All of Us Here at Beyond A Century!

supermanherbs.com/

Also carries bulk powders. Mainly for testosterone increase but also for overall health. I've visited his store in 2014 in search for scotch pine pollen and at that time I believe he was selling about ten powders. Has growth significantly since then. Hard to find products there.

Beyond a Century was the best place to buy powder supplements 20 years ago. They were awesome at that time, and I loved their catalogue. Nowadays they are so overpriced that I don't know why anyone still orders from there. They just seem so out of touch, and never evolved. The couple of times I contacted them in the past for product issues I was disappointed with their response (felt in both cases that they brushed me off). I don't understand how they can't sell bulk supplements anymore when so many other websites are selling in bulk.
