Interesting positive results on a new antidepressant study

http://news.yahoo.co...-164640161.html

The Alkermes drug ALKS 5461 contains Samidorphan+naloxone. Its effect on the opioid system is similar to that of naltrexone apparently minus some of the side effects.

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Samidorphan

"By combining buprenorphine with samidorphan to block the mu agonist effects, the combination acts more like a selective kappa-[opioid] antagonist, and produces only antidepressant effects, without typical mu opioid effects being evident"

I'm wondering if this drug is supposed to work similar to low dose naltrexone rebound effect or ordinary dose naltrexone.

EDIT: Actually I am not clear at all on the supposed mechanism of action and/or the similarity in effect to naltrexone beyond mentioned in the wiki article. Apparently kappa-opioid agonism is dysphoric.
