I think people would get much better resveratrol absorption with moist socks. Think about water crinkly feet, they absorb what approaches a milliliter of fluid absent any digestive effect, then likely resorb the fluid to the circulatory system Resveratrol with its particulat bioavailability as well as plasma half life could really use a continuous endogenous source like moist socks.

How could we tell if this idea works right now? Niacin flush. If you can create a niacin flush with moist socks or a footbath then that strongly suggests a variety of other supplements could be absorbed through socks.

I know it sounds funny, yet if any of you have some niacin around, a plastic bag, a little water, you could see if niacing water at a plastic bag under socks causes niacin flushing, if that works then resveratrol will likely be absorbed that way as well.

I urge people to try this. supporting this ideais that arginine, a vasodilator, causes warm hands from arginine oil blend on palms.

I would suggest using wool socks instead of the plastic bag thing. They will keep your feet moist on all but the coldest days. But resveratrol is so poorly soluble in water, versus niacin, I doubt the niacin test will tell you anything useful, nor will one get much absorption of resveratrol unless you create some sort of miscible lotion that can act as a carrier with which to grease one's feet. Even then, it seems unlikely a significant amount of resveratrol will penetrate below the first few layers of skin.

Due to the large mucosal area, vaginal resveratrol suppositories might be a better method, if one were so equipped. Rectal enema is a more universal option, though not as good for mucosal membrane absorption as the aforementioned organ. I do not, however, urge anyone to shove it up there, but if anyone does, please report back to us.

Might have better luck with just a resveratrol/oil mix. Although resveratrol does seem to be soluble in dmso, as soon as the solution comes into contact with water, the resveratrol starts precipitating out.
