Whats bugging me is the fact that so few people here are showing any interest in the subject.
I understand that its human nature to avoid thinking about unpleasant, depressing things, but I would rather be a bit depressed about something I, with mass help, could change. Rather than have my DNA changed/silenced to the point where I am a short lived, cancer prone, lemming.

I am thinking about a post along the lines of:
'What supps to counteract DNA change and cancer from GMOs?'
in 'supplements' (most active) to get more people thing about this disturbing subject?

Thoughts?

Lol I remember when I first started saying GMO's were dangerous for you. Everyone on this forum laughed at me and called me a quack repeatedly and continued to deny every bit of information or evidence pointing to GMO's being dangerous. Guess the quacks were right

You should see all the job adds in the jobs section here by Monsanto.
Mayhaps many members have been employed by them to avoid an outcry on this and similar forums!?

I thinks its important to collect links here and post them wherever one sees an opportunity elsewhere in forum subjects.
As usual; its important to have good references and citations posted in any posts made.

dude, you think you got it bad? i'm the one who started the thread and the mods disregarded my claims dispite research evidence. they were not open-minded in the least seemingly . you think stubborn people who deny warnings only happen in horror flicks?

you know in the horror movie, when everyone deny warnings not matter how plausible until it's too late. i'm living one on the site. lol.

Post everywhere you see a opportunity here.
Back it up with good references and citations though, or don't bother.

I feel its important to get as many people as possible thinking about this and doing a little research of their own.

"Don't think about GMOs now = Think about cancer etc when its too late!"

Well it won't actually publicly come out that GMO's are bad until the problem has been contained and fixed so it's a quick transition from "Oh sh-t, 90% of what we eat is altering our DNA." to "Oh well there was bad food out there for a little bit but it's fixed now so everything is alright." Then no one will get introuble... as always. The companies putting these products out there are obviously well aware of the problem. If they weren't then Monsanto wouldn't have written their own protection act.

This quack sums it up pretty good.

Pretty sure I already posted this video but hell it explains how the protection act got passed.

i feel the threat of gmo presence in prescription pharma is one in need of addressing.

http://www.naturalne...egetarians.html

even food companies struggling to swap out.

http://www.nytimes.c...wanted=all&_r=0

what i want to know is how easy is it to swap derivatives out of pharmas? doesn't make sense to take gmo drug into your body when you trying to heal oneself .

i mean it more serious than the food issue in a way cuz you can always pick organic with food but how do you do it with meds when you are sick?

any one got good leads?

i was at the hospital the other day and only one nurse from my encounter was knowledgable about gmo to have an intellectual discussion with me. and this is the medical industry we talking about here. its unsettling in a sense when a central medical institution is in the dark about something like this. and i found a lot of potentially gmo ingredients in their snacks which i didn't take any.

can you link the job section?

i think i read that the resident evil game myth was based on monsanto. i think they got a story element where raccoon city civilian know umbrella does bad stuff but kept their mouth shut cuz umbrella brought a lot of jobs. and guess what happens, everyone pays for it by sickness and zombification.

our reality isn't so different in a way....

GMO MYTHS AND TRUTHS REPORT

BY:
Michael Antoniou
PhD is reader in molecular genetics and head, Gene Expression and Therapy Group, King’s College London School of Medicine, London, UK. He has 28 years’ experience in the use of genetic engineering technology investigating gene organisation and control, with over 40 peer reviewed publications of original work, and holds inventor status on a number of gene expression biotechnology patents.

John Fagan
PhD is a leading authority on sustainability in the food system, biosafety, and GMO testing. He is founder and chief scientific officer of one of the world’s first GMO testing and certification companies, through which he has pioneered the development of innovative tools to verify and advance food purity, safety and sustainability.

Genetically modified (GM) crops are promoted on the basis of a range of far-reaching claims from the GM crop industry and its supporters. They say that GM crops:
Are an extension of natural breeding and do not pose different risks from naturally bred crops
Are safe to eat and can be more nutritious than naturally bred crops
Are strictly regulated for safety Increase crop yields
Reduce pesticide use
Benefit farmers and make their lives easier
Bring economic benefits
Benefit the environment
Can help solve problems caused by climate change
Reduce energy use
Will help feed the world.

However, a large and growing body of scientific and other authoritative evidence shows that these claims are not true. On the contrary, evidence presented in this report indicates that GM crops:
Are laboratory-made, using technology that is totally different from natural breeding methods, and pose different risks from non-GM crops
Can be toxic, allergenic or less nutritious than their natural counterparts
Are not adequately regulated to ensure safety
Do not increase yield potential
Do not reduce pesticide use but increase it
Create serious problems for farmers, including herbicide-tolerant “superweeds”, compromised soil quality, and increased disease susceptibility in crops
Have mixed economic effects Harm soil quality, disrupt ecosystems, and reduce biodiversity
Do not offer effective solutions to climate change Are as energy-hungry as any other chemically-farmed crops
Cannot solve the problem of world hunger but distract from its real causes – poverty, lack of access to food and, increasingly, lack of access to land to grow it on.

Based on the evidence presented in this report, there is no need to take risks with GM crops when effective, readily available, and sustainable solutions to the problems that GM technology is claimed to address already exist.
Conventional plant breeding, in some cases helped by safe modern technologies like gene mapping and marker assisted selection, continues to outperform GM in producing high-yield, drought-tolerant, and pest- and disease-resistant crops that can meet our present and future food needs.

we are seriously corrupted. bipartisan bickering also holding back real progress. we have serious infrastuction deterioration. there should really be progressive government revolution. the fact that a company like monsanto was able to buy the government signals serious no-no.

the government suppose to be the immune system. and when that just lets harmful microbes inflitrate and break everything, the protection is broken. now why isn't our government being fixed??

in simplicity, i categorize 3 diffierent types of people. people who care. people who don't give a f*ck if the world burns. and paid off folks.

now i wonder where Teakles falls in between the latter two. distraction and social engineering are techniques pros use as well.

i want folks to feel gmos don't mean shit and people who raise concern are just worrying too much cuz i working for biotech big boy like monsanto or "big 6". you gonna be swayed or not? you a sucker or not?

have a nice day folks...hahaha...

I was being sarcastic lol

GMOs in moderation is okay.

Same with crack-cocaine right? Heroin must also be okay in moderation. I mean those things can't be any worse than eating foreign DNA that causes your body to be a factory producing pesticides in gut.

Could you please explain why you think it's okay in moderation? If something needs to be taken in moderation what's the benifit from it? And if Monsanto is desperately trying to keep GMO's from being labeled in America how can we even attempt to consume it in moderation?

I think our bodies will adapt, well most of us and if you hadn't noticed whether preplanned/orchestrated the due to the growing world of humans, we need new plants that can handle the extremes we are seeing to help feed our 8.6 billion residents of the world plus about 3 trillion domesticated animals. You could say better use of lots/and new growing methods+global movement to go towards none wasting and better farming techniques is the answer, but since we know the world isn't going to do that (sad times). - I think then I'll take my chances with Giant alien eggplants over food riots, but hey that's just me. The technology will advance very quickly give it another decade or two and they will have all the kinks out of the science, BTW- I have been following GMOs (science wise since 05 and have seen most of the studies and have come to this conclusion.)

PS technology advances very quickly give it another decade or two and they will have all the kinks out of the science, BTW- I have been following GMOs (science wise since 05 and have seen most of the studies and have come to this conclusion.)_hope you can take it as that.

I think it'd be easier to feed our 8.6 billion residents if Monsanto would stop trying to monopolize the food supply and our government would ease up on restrictions and regulation for small scale farmers. It's the local farmers that feed the local communities. So why make it harder for them to run business? For our safety? How much safety do we want before it starts causing the exact problems we're seeing now? Corporations trying to patent food? I'm sure that'll turn out good. Security at the cost of freedom? Hmmm, don't know about you but I know what I'd choose.

But back to the topic of the GMO's being bad for your health. Why would you publicly run tests to find out what the health effects are and then work out the kinks? I never signed up to be a guinee pig. This company is operating outside the law. They know what their crops are doing to the health of this country. They know people are realizing it too. That's why they even went as far as writing up a bill to keep them out of trouble.

Can't wait to see the current health status of America in another decade or two. Wanna make bets? I bet what we're seeing now isn't even close to how devasting things will soon be.

But then again that's just my 8 cents.
