I have looked around and found a handful of “suppliers”. You have to be very careful; there are many more scammers than you think.
I’m thinking of buying a large quantity from one of them (it’s the only way) but I will have to do more research first.
If there is a second group buy I would happily take part.

I think it would be wise to wait until all the of the anecdotal reports are in and effects collated, to sift between placebo and possible effects before starting another group buy.

Agreed, but nothing wrong with working out the logistics while we wait. It took the first group a few weeks to work everything out.

Scienceguy's manufacturer only deals with companies, not individuals. We would have to look for a different lab to make it.

Or found a company with the express purpose of guinea pigging it's employees and shareholders!

Group Test is a not for profit organization whose express purpose is to benefit science and community through the purchase and self trial of experimental drugs.

Does anyone else see the profit potential here? Shouldn't the guinea pigs own the company? Would there be any legal issues with conducting our own research prior to a study's completion? If this drug is as blockbuster as they say it might be, the stock is going to soar. Our company's shareholders/guinea pigs would have exclusive access to the ongoing phase III data and have the opportunity to make some good investments. We'd also be able to publicly review the drug prior to release. Data published on inserts is generally limited and reports of personal experiences might be a good thing to have around. We could do that for any particular drug anyone is taking. Would we be breaking any laws by doing this?

I'm a chem eng/med student. Whatever needs to be done I'll do if we don't have anyone else. I'd want to use an escrow system so that I don't have access to the money.

Of course, if we don't know the name of the manufacturing lab, we don't know who got paid and we could potentially get duped. It could readily be a rip off or a move to discourage the practice of group buys.

In the last group buy, I think everyone got about 2.5 grams. Assuming positive responses from these people, would others be looking to get a larger amount this time? Personally I'm thinking somewhere around 10 to 25 grams depending on results. If others are also going to up their order amount and we have more participants, maybe we could get half to 1kg this time and a cheaper price per gram. So anyone looking to get more this time, maybe post how much you would want when posting that you're 'in'.

We'll make a second group buy. No worries. Just wait a little. The synthesis route is already established so it will take less time and all. However, since SG bought half of the portion ordered we would have to amass a very large group buy.

At current price, wouldn't 1 kg cost around $40k-$50k?

I want to get enough for a long term study. To explore the price and quantity of a 6 month study for example, choosing a dosage of 100 mg a day at the price of the 1st buy , would be $1471.40 and weigh 18.6 grams. I wonder how low the price could go with a lot of people buying this kind of quantity.

At the price BrainFrost mentions the 1471 for 18,6 grams comes down to around 1000 for 20 grams. Can we get enough people to get a kilogram? Would it go lower if we got 2 kilograms?

200grams cost around $10900 so extrapolating that you would indeed get $50000 however if buying 1kg, I would expect a significant price drop, probably looking at about half the cost per gram. So with that in mind, we would be looking at $25000 for a kg or $25 per gram. So on that basis you would be looking at $465 for 18.6 grams. Of course we don't know the actual price for 1kg until we ask. Given that they now know how to make it, it might be significantly cheaper. Maybe ScienceGuy can give some indication at some point of what 1kg would cost.
