Hey I think most of you allready read this article but will still post a part of it for the sake of harmreduction. While ISRIB doesn't seem to be neurotoxic there are some concers with the use of ISRIB. I'm very interested in this compound and will post this for the people who try this compound what direction to look for possible side-effects.

"It is tempting to speculate that ISRIB, or a derivative of this compound, may have beneficial effects for patients with diseases where memory is impaired. However eIF2α phosphorylation affects multiple tissues and pathways, not just the brain: Wolcott-Rallison Syndrome, for example, also affects the bones, kidney and liver, and eIF2 phosphorylation is also known to affect metabolism (Baird and Wek, 2012). Reduced eIF2α signalling is also known to increase the sensitivity of cells to viral infection (Elsby et al., 2011), so it seems possible that ISRIB could similarly reduce cellular resistance to viral infection. When ISRIB was combined with acute stress on the endoplasmic reticulum, the rate of cell death increased (Sidrauski et al. 2013)." - See more at: http://elife.elifesc...h.qegKuVKP.dpuf

If any one has more information about the possible side/negative-effects I would like to here them. I think this compound is realy the next step in better memory consolidation and I'm very interested. Further more I am exited to here your experencies.
Thanks for trying this compound!

J.

Man you people are impatient. The synthesis just begun for ISRIB, yesterday. It'll still be a little while till everything gets finished up.

Trans-ISRIB proved 100-fold more potent (IC50 = 5 nM) than cis-ISRIB (IC50 - 600 nM)

Do you know which is being synthesized in the group buy?

No. It's closed. I'm waiting for some sign from out supplier that ISRIB is in the works. Still awaiting some update.

I guess it is funny because I should have known it was full without asking or It is wrong to ask. It sounds like an interesting compound. I hope it turns out well. I look forward to seeing the results posted. Hope I can catch the right study soon.

I'm going to scrap this group buy or go with a different supplier. I hate being under the mercy of our current supplier to let us know if this has begun at all. I can search for another supplier; but, the cost may be higher, unless our current supplier decides to inform us on whether he is undertaking this project or not.

I don't mind higher costs....can't you use TW or the supplier Science Guy uses. Photographic memory is priceless.

Yeah, I'm already using the supplier ScienceGuy uses. He's either too busy to leave a response or just doesn't really care. Either way its negligent of him.

Not yet.

Wow, seriously? It must have gone bad by now. Pff.

If there's room Redan aka yadayada. Can I be in? As long as the price isn't like twice of that of the original. I don't know why but ISRIB excites me the most.

Depends. If the current supplier doesn't respond to my PM's I'll look into another supplier. Then, I'll have to check how much can be synthesized and for what amount. If the cost is good, then I'll see if I can squeeze in some more members.
