Can someone please answer my previous question?

Can someone post some information about ISRIB. If it is what users above are describing, "ISRIB is basically C16 but only a lot easier to dose and possibly a lot more stable...", then I would be very willing to pay extra for some or all of a participant's order. It seems this thread hasn't been updated in almost a month. I know I'm not involved, but if you all don't mind me asking, how is the group buy progressing? :|?

I would like to ask where also, pm?

P.M. me, and I'd be glad to let you know. :)

Hi everyone,

I myself have not received a reply from the same lab yet regarding the PRL-5-83 custom synthesis order... I think, like many European companies, they did not start work again until yesterday, MONDAY 13th JANUARY.

YADAYADA - I recommend that you send them another chaser message... I appreciate it is frustrating, but let's give them until the end of this week to respond ;)

Hey ScienceGuy. Regarding the ISRIB group buy. I already changed suppliers and they have informed me that ISRIB will be completed shortly.

YADAYADA,

Thanks for the PM just now... since this is relevant to this thread and affects all the participants in the ISRIB Group Buy I feel it is most appropriate that I post my reply here ;)

When and why did you change supplier? :|?

Shouldn't this decision be something to be discussed with and agreed by all (or at least a majority of) the participants of the ISRIB Group Buy?

Does the previous supplier know that you are no longer using them? Have you informed them as such? If so, are they OK about it, given my understanding that they had nearly completed the synthesis for you?

I am concerned that if you have just dumped them and left them with a jar of ISRIB sitting on their shelf, they are not going to be very happy about it; and this will likely affect their motivation regards taking on other custom synthesis orders from Longecity members...

And is your new supplier reputable and reliable? If so, how do you know that they are? Is this the same supplier that produced the BPAP for you, because it is my understanding that that particular supplier has seriously let you down, in that they have failed to provide even close to the quantity or purity ordered...

I consider it to be of paramount importance that the participants in the group buy are provided what they have been promised, both regards to quantity and purity of product; and at the very least kept fully in the loop regards what is happening and fully involved in any such major decisions as changing supplier.

I am very happy to still assist with regards to the shipping, but for obvious reasons I need to be confident that what I am shipping out is actually ISRIB; and that it is of the correct purity and quantity. If I do not have such confidence I am afraid I will no longer be willing to be associated with this group buy. :|o

Yadayada, you changed suppliers without even saying? Did you get the funds from the European lab returned or were you somehow able to pay the new lab yourself? What's the new ETA?

I changed suppliers after I recieved no word from the Polish supplier about anything. Mind you, the synthesis for ISRIB was supposedly begun around the same time or before the PRL one. So, since I got no word or updates about anything I'm more inclined to go with my current supplier than with someone who doesn't send replies and changes their prices at random.

I won't be locking this thread, no worries. BPAP just got locked because it had people who had nothing to do with the BPAP group buy come in and hijack the thread and start some character assasination on me any the supplier of BPAP. The 1g sample I had was offered many times to anyone who could lab test it; YET, NOBODY WANTED TO GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF ACTUALLY DOING THAT. I've been open and clear with everyone on why they got the amount they got and as far as I'm concerned I had 2-3 people complain out of around 22 who participated int he group buy. Can't satisfy them all, especially if they get their money through mom or dad or welfare.

I'll just post about the progress of the ISRIB group buy from now on. I think ETA should be in some 3 weeks, aroundish.

Hey guys, just to make some basic infos clear: as it was questionned before, is ISRIB oral bioavailable, rephrased is there any solid way to administer isrib???
To the competent one(s): please answer this simple question!!

solarfingers, on 23 June 2013 - 08:13 PM, said:

The study says it was injected into the mice. Would it have to be administered that way?

You still have my interest here and I might be willing to go halves with spookytooth. I just hate needles.
True, will have to research if it's orally bioavailable. The research did not seem to imply that it wasn't. Might have been standard procedure to do IV injections for mice.

Yes, it was given intraperitoneal dissolved in DMSO in mice. As ISRIB is extremely undissoluble, so far the only agent to that can solve it DMSO.
As DMSO by itself is a proper agent for human, afaik the main issue is, that dmso is a very potent carrier molecule, and it has to be almost 100% "clean", not to bring any harmful agent into the bloodstream etc..

The question is, if it has any other danger using iISRIB dissolved in DMSO (in humans!!) orally (gastrointestinal), than impurities in the solution itself?

DMSO is not the best choice. Some people do not tolerate it well.
Simple alcohol would work too. It can be diluted with water before consumption.

Yes, i also have some sample done (ISRIB), it is powder, but according to the lab's informations it has to be dissolved before administration:

"We already have a sample of final product, with the analytical quality confirming structure and purity. We will start inmediately the scale up in order to prepare the 100 g ASAP.

The product is extremely insoluble; we will provide some solubility data with the CoA."

Yadayada, will ScienceGuy still be handling the shipping?

NO. He WON'T! ;)

Sorry everyone, but for a variety of reasons I will no longer be associated with anything that involves YADAYADA.

Firstly because of the above unbelievable behavior with respect to unilaterally changing supplier without discussing the matter with ANYONE; and secondly, because of THIS:

I have 1 gram of BPAP...

Firstly, if this is the case then why THE HELL have you provided MINISCULE QUANTITIES to all the Group Buy PARTICIPANTS if you and your SUPPLIER are sitting on a 1 GRAM quantity?!

It is your responsibility to ensure that all PARTICIPANTS are supplied with as close the QUANTITY ORDERED as possible!

Secondly, with the utmost respect, YADAYADA you are your own worst enemy!

Why on earth would you choose to launch yet another wholly unwarranted attack against me, in response to MY DEFENDING YOU?

Given your wildly erratic behaviour, which includes:
  • Recently taking a substance overdose that required emergency services to be called to take you to hospital;
  • Begging for money on this forum whilst simultaneously boasting about how much money you have made by investing in NEURALSTEM shares; and
  • Asking me to help you whilst simultaneously attacking me and insulting me;
I strongly urge you to seek PSYCHOLOGICAL MEDICAL HELP as soon as possible. :|o

As a consequence of your latest tantrum I regret to inform you that I cannot continue to be associated with you in any respect… Count me OUT of anything in which you are involved. PERIOD!

And you can file THIS:

ScienceGuy got an empty vial. Yes, this was a strange thing; but, the reaction that latter ensued IMO was unwarranted. ScienceGuy will obviously tell you otherwise from experience. Hail!
...Interesting. You seem to know the purity now even though the product was never specified... Again if you want to test BPAP, since you've taken this position of authority of managing every future way a group buy should be handled, then I offer it to you. If you do not want it you have no argument to throw at me unless you want to pander to me about your experiences with Chineese suppliers.

In the same box as ALL OF THIS:

I'd also like to point out that ScienceGuy and Googletarian have become quite comfortable with each other so it might be the case that he has material interested vested in having a monopoly on custom synthesis group buys...

Your avatar seems to serve you well.

I would like to dispel this PREJUDICE that is being perpetuated by ScienceGuy...

ScienceGuy's reaction to state of affairs #1: He states his prejudice. Watch out for the CHINESE!
...Now, this sounds like the plot for a spy story. Are you paranoid against the CHINESE, ScienceGuy?
...I must point out that you might have the most stringent rigor when it comes to purity which seems to be to the point of being some sort of neurotic obsession.

I'm beginning to suspect that you did receive the product; but, were so unhappy with its purity that you made the false claim that you received nothing.

What purity will satisfy you Sir? I was told by the supplier that the product would be in free form at 95% and the HCL that everyone should get is 98%+. Let me just remind that the compound is active in the microscale, unlike the large doses of Piracetam people digest. I'm hopping your piracetam is 99.99999% pure since you're taking 5g+ doses every day!

Wow, now I'm going to get downbombed by the fanatical believers in ScienceGuy…

I TRULY believe that ScienceGuy, you, have a strong material interest vested in holding onto some sort of leverage or dominance in the nootropic area.

WHAT ad hominems against you and the Chinese in general???!!! :|?

Firstly, you are guilty of REPEATEDLY deliberately misconstruing my advice regarding Chinese suppliers, and as such I am not going to even bother incinerating your RIDICULOUS STRAWMAN for the UMPTEENTH time, especially as pretty much everyone reading knows it to be precisely that... ;)

And secondly, you clearly need to be pointing at yourself in the mirror if you are going to accuse anyone of AD HOMINEM attacks... wherein my quoting YOUR latest wholly unwarranted AD HOMINEM attacks against ME (bizarrely in response to MY HELPING YOU by DEFENDING YOU) does NOT in fact fall within the definition of AD HOMINEM... I think everyone reading this is INTELLIGENT enough to see that the PERPETRATOR of any AD HOMINEM here is most certainly NOT me!

Can you answer my question of who will be handling the shipment then? As I've said before, for chemicals to pass Norwegian toll customs, it needs to be sent to me from within the EU. Therefore it's kind of important for me to know, if you haven't made an arrangement with a European reshippper, so that I can do this myself in case.

Here we go again... I mean HONESTLY! PARANOID much?

And for what it's worth I believe IZAN82 was referring to YOU and YOUR ACTIONS as being DISGRACEFUL... ;)

as an outside observer here scienceguy has been nothing but civil, i watched a benign comment about the difficulty in verifying chinese vendors legitimacy turn into a repeated claim of racism by yadayada. The chinese market is incredibly hard to read due to the sheer volume of suppliers not to mention the language barrier. After keeping up on several threads i would say if anyones character is on trial here it is yadayada's. I have seen several benign questions from members met with vicious defensive attacks on his part, not to mention the claims of fraud against him.

Thank you kindly for posting such an intelligent and impartial opinion. I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head, so to speak. With hindsight, the only mistake that I have made here was to DEFEND YADAYADA, which I did because I like to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt whenever possible... :)

YADAYADA's attacks against me are clearly wholly unwarranted and because there exists absolutely no basis whatsoever for such an attack his only option has been (and is) to fabricate STRAWMEN, such as the whole 'Chinese Supplier' non-issue, and sling AD HOMINEM against me... When this is combined with the accusations of FRAUD levelled against him by many individuals I hope everyone understands why I can have nothing further to do with him or any Group Buy that he is involved in ;)
