Does anyone knows why phenylpiracetam is limited to 750 mg daily? I am thinking in going higher.

750mg sounds like a lot. Although that may be enough to induce tolerance quickly. I stick to 200mg every other day, and don't have tolerance issues.

Phenylpiracetam is 30 to 60 times stronger than piracetam . So that should make the maximum dosage of piracetam between 30x750mg=22500mg and 60x750mg=45000mg

I just wanted to know why the upper limit is 750mg so i can make a calculate mistake. phenylpiracetam is water soluble so it doesn't has a overdose dosage. I can't understand why the 750mg...

The whole "x stronger than y" is just BS. Noopept is said to be 1000x stronger than piracetam, but they're not comparable. The dose is just set because they want to be sure no one takes big dosages and get side-effects. It's just a safety measure.

Although not stipulated, it may also mean that there is no evident therapeutic value beyond 750mgs total per day.

Also, just noticed that a Peak nootropics ad is below my post. Sorry to get off topic, but are they still in business? I could use some more phenylpiracetam and an always looking for competitive and reliable vendors in case one goes belly up.

Does anyone have an idea how long it may take to completely restore phenylpiracetam tolerance if indeed that is possible. Sometimes you can never get the initial effects. My last few times using phenyl left me somewhat irritable and really just not in the zone like normal. One time I dosed too high and another the good effects lasted about an hour. Anyone with experience that took a break then went back to get good results?

I take breaks every week but I'm guessing you're looking for someone with experience taking a break after longer term consecutive day use...how many consecutive days have you used it? I know with Noopept they say you should take a 1 month break after two months of use..that is, if I'm remembering it correctly. With phenylpiracetam it also says to take a month off after a certain period of use.

I usually never use more than 3 days in a row then taking about 4-5 days off but that doesn't seem to be enough. I may just try a couple weeks off and see what happens. If I have to I may just take a few months off. I'm trying to get away from being dependent on supplements for good motivation. My energy's been getting better lately eating about 80% raw natural foods and about 20% cooked and processed. Taper down on caffiene too. Give my neurotransmitters a break.

So, is sub-lingual dosing really necessary? (tastes horrible). But I am not finding much info wrt 20-100 mg sublingual, vs. 150-300 mg swallowed in a capsule. I expected the different modes, which is preferred or necessary, would have been a prime topic. Any advice?

Hi kilgortrout,

What difference have you noticed from taking it sublingually?

Hi kilgortrout,

According to Wikipédia:
Routes Oral Pharmacokinetic data Bioavailability ~100 %

So, there isn't any benefit of sublingual administration.

I find that even 100mg of Phenylpiracetam (one tablet) affects me, though I usually take 200mg throughout a day. You all seem to be taking much larger doses than that. Is anyone else in here affected by 100mg?

Now that I have the bulk powder, however, I'm probably going to experiment with 300mg per day.

300mg was my sweet spot. I once went up to a gram in a day but this was counterproductive. And of course, like everybody else, despite my best efforts tolerance ensued. The 1st few weeks are amazing . I was taking it every other day with no issues until about 2 months down the track. It just stops working.

In the beginning the effects were so pleasantly uplifting I would swear it felt dopaminergic.

Atter tolerance built up any attempt to achieve a good effect from it was followed rapidly by a crash and left me drained.

After a several month break I found it was still ineffective, except it did seem to aid a quick recovery from New Years when I started back a work.

I’m still in that honeymoon phase, I think. I’ve found that 300mg is effective for me, though I can feel it at 100mg. I didn’t notice much of a difference between 400mg and 600mg. I think the effect feels the same after 400mg. Thanks for your reply. I’ll probably build up tolerance eventually, as you and the others have described. I’m going to record it all in my log as I go along. Thanks.
