For a website that's supposed to be at the forefront of the Life Extension movement, it doesn't look so good. It should be more flashy and pleasing to the eyes, minimalistic like Google and Facebook. Is LongeCity hiring web designers?

It's mostly volunteers from what I understand. Are you a web designer? Don't forget to introduce yourself here:
http://www.longecity...oduce-yourself/

The immortality movement has been underfunded for years. We've only just started moving forward and finding things that could radically extend human lifespans such as C60.

Oh, and I've been wondering since you're from Japan... Japan is such a high tech country, I don't get why cryonics doesn't have a higher penetration, similar to what we have in the west. Japan has also invented some of the most recent tech that cryonicists are going wild over to greatly improve cryonics... Yet Japan doesn't have a cryonics company, do they? What are your perceptions? Would you get frozen when you die? Would you want to freeze a family member and be reunited with them in the future if they died young or if you just wanted to live forever and see the next technological leap forward or live on a spaceship traveling the universe?

Here, there are alot of sci-fi books that involve cryonics and Japan...

I'm very interested in what you have to say.

I paid for membership for a bit in the hopes that I was able to customise the website but with no avail. I used to visit this website frequently to learn about nootropics, but the stagnant website design makes me click away from it every time. The white background is nice which makes it easy to read texts, but I find the font too large and stretches across too wide (on widescreen monitor). Also, the forum section threads are too big and needs to be more compact so that I can see more threads at once. And the same with user comment replies, they need to be more compact so that I can scroll down less and read more texts. There's a lot of wasted space, everything needs to be more compact overall. I wish the website was easier to read and more pleasing to the eye. Something like https://forums.whirlpool.net.au would be nice but with white background and black text.

I'd prefer less flashy, smaller default font, but a particular annoyance is the sticky header aka banner ad that occupies much of the screen.

Yeah these giant sticky headers suddenly arrived last week, and on an iPhone they're super annoying.

Cmon guys, do you really think making ads larger and even more intrusive is going to improve revenue from your audience?

Please rethink these oversized ads, they're gonna chase more ppl away.

Actually, stagnant is the opposite of the truth. IP.Board around 2.3.1 (around 2007) had my favourite layout and usability, later 3.x and 4.x are an ugly bloated unusable nightmare.

Old 2.x examples of this and another forum:
http://web.archive.o...forum/index.php
http://web.archive.o...ums.fitness.ee/

Observe the clarity, readability, display density, excellent thread download/print options etc.
