Guys...I've been incarcerated the past few weeks for drug possession. The charges against me are pretty severe. I bonded myself out at the expense of our group buy yesterday night. I'm looking at 4 felonies, possible 5 years in prison, and $5,000 fine. I'm extremely sorry for not getting back to you guys right away. There wasn't any internet access available in prison. I'm in a huge hole right now, and I'm trying my best to get your money back. Understand that I can't guarantee a refund anytime soon, but I'll make it right eventually. And yes, I did get a new drivers license shortly before my arrest. I applied for an unsecured personal loan but I was denied. My life has been pretty chaotic recently as you can imagine. My parents have disowned me. I'm trying to make amends to the university I attend. Plus, I have a string of hearings for the next 6 or so months. What money I have left is nonexistent, and I haven't even hired a private lawyer yet. Guys, you will get your money back. I just need time.

I would suggest those that have access to this person's name and address use that to locate the local county sheriff's website and do an inmate search. Often these will show recently released inmates. This needs to be confirmed. You can also perhaps access the court's dockets to see about arraignments.

Former LEO here so maybe its just the suspicion talking.

Heres what he wrote me:

"Awesome. Yes, I accept Western Union.
Use the "Send Money Online" option and find the option where you directly wire the money to my bank account from your bank account. Processing takes around 6 business days. My Account Number: 6760032331 Routing Number: 091000019. Thanks.
Amount: $90
Bank name: Wells Fargo
In case you need to know:
First: Kentaro
Last: Ichimura
Address: 722 Regency Ln E
City: Hopkins
Zip code: 55343
State: Minnesota"

He later wrote me and offered me a full cost 160$ share, so he didnt just steal 90$. And I dont believe "he just lost his driver's license right before the buy" and then "got busted for drugs right when he got his ID back" and is going "to be in court for the next 6 months".

Really just a bad joke.

It's not a fucking joke. I really did lose my ID then was incarcerated for a while. Why would I joke around about being in prison? And what are you talking about stealing $90. Please elaborate.

I'll still be able to work and make some money during the next six months. This is in no way a guarantee but everyone should have there money back in less than six months. If not, I'll use my student credit card and withdraw the maximum $500 and pay off anyone I haven't issued a refund.

OR

I can do what yadayada did with some of the other group buys and transfer the funds to someone else who can continue the group buy. IS THERE ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE GROUP BUY? Please step up now. I would also provide information on who our manufacturer is and who our 3rd party tester is and will get you in contact with them.

But let's set my priorities straight:
-I am on academic probation
-I spent the last few weeks in prison
-I lost $535 due to bonding
-My lawyer is asking for $5000 upfront
-I lost all my drugs
-My room was absolutely trashed
-My future career may forever be lost
-I might spend 5 years in jail

And of course the group buy participants are furious at me which is 100% rightfully justifiable. But Charles can you please erase my personal information?

This does not make sense. You are saying that ((A: due to whatever your current drama you don't have the money that was entrusted to you to make the buy) OR (B: You will transfer the funds to a third party to continue the buy)) --> (results in an acceptable outcome)). Since A implies that you do not have the money and B implies that you do this ends up being irresolvable without logic and there is not way to resolve the contradiction. This is typical of the kind of street hustle con sounding rhetoric that I have heard from you in private correspondence since 4 weeks after the buy was to originally take place. I understand that all these things could be happening to you and if they are im sure you have at least everyones empathy. we have all fallen on hard times. The problem is that you cant keep your story straight. It sounds like what one would hear from a street hustler very, unexpected from a supposed college student. I have always had the sense that you used the money on books or drugs or something temporarily and were never able to get it all back together to do the buy if you had intended to in the first place. I think that giving you the benefit of the doubt and blaming your lack of consistency about your story to the stress you would be going through if all these terrible things are happening in your life I think I can reduce the confusion by posing one simple question. Are you able to transfer the money NOW to someone whom we will determine so we can decide what to do going forward. This will certainly erase any ill will against you by the group as we have all had hard times and know sometimes we might not think rationally when things are as bad as you describe. If you have the money then let us proceed with removing that problem from your inventory and we can figure our what we want to do next and you can get on with fighting these battles you face. That being resolved you would have our empathy and support and you would be welcome to participate in the group. The GEBR information and discussions you stimulated are valuable. If you were not to be able to transfer the funds immediately I for one don't want to see you here and would advocate taking steps to ensure that you aren't. It is because on the surface it all appears very fraudulent. So will you transfer the funds immediately? we will have no problem finding somewhere for you to transfer them to. So here is a OR statement which does not have codependent clauses and I logically valid.( A: you are able to return our funds you are welcome In the group) OR (B: well I don't know if you will be banned but you will never be trusted). If you don't have the money and you had come to us and said there had been a problem we would have probably understood. So Kool, do we arrange to receive that funds?

No more stalling from any of us.

Provided option B of the above post is accurate, how can we put pressure on this guy? I can reach out to some lawyer friends of mine, we could contact the local Hopkins city police and let them know that this guy stole our money, and we could also contact the bank (Wells Fargo) and inform them of whats going on.

The agreement, we all agreed to in writing, was not for you use our money for supposed bond or bail lol. Once you start lying, anything and everything you say is worthless and Im sure Im not the only one on that.

And the two different names just makes me laugh...been doing this awhile?

Yeah u do that good luck Charles. Let's see how far that'll take us.

And Researchist, I appreciate what ur trying to say. And I've exhausted every option to try and get our money back, but I don't have money period. What I could do is save up $500 with the next two checks I get from work and borrow the other $500 from my student credit card. I'd still be a bit short, but it should be enough to at least prove to you that I am taking proactive measures to rectify the situation. I can try to take up more hours and/or add another job but I can raise $1000 in ROUGHLY one month. A month and a half at the MAX.

Ok KoolK3n,
I will believe you if you show that the group buy was legit and there was a real company which agreed to make the product for the price

If u feel comfortable emailing me, then by all means do say and will promptly get back to you.

Let me reiterate, I don't have ANY money at all. I only have chump change of a couple dollars. It was the result of school supplies, eating out a lot, bonding out, and reckless spending on shit I didn't need and again I regret what happened and will make things right for everyone.

With that said, Researchist, did you want to take over the buy? I just realized I still have one entire bitcoin, so that's actually around $300 I can send you by the end of next week (processing included). Please get back to me or at least redirect to someone who will.

Uralsky, the link below should redirect you to the invoice that was created for me.

http://us.download.a...H4lS0XoAJdhyBA=

Escrow system is included with the deal. And btw, the third party tester is/would've been Googlotarian.

May I suggest you go cap in hand to your parents and tell them you owe money and ask for a temporary loan. Use the money you make in the next few weeks to pay them back. 2 birds with 1 stone, sort out your reputation here and when money paid back swiftly, parents will have new view of you. This is one of those times when you can't afford to mess up again.

Hey guys, I dont want my money back. I want the GEBR-7b!!! If koolk3n is proposing to transfer the responsibility (and the money) for the acquisition to another person then it is more interesting than the return of our money.

PWAIN, I tried that a while ago and it was a no-go from everybody. No one had $1300 lying around. But the good news is that I got some of my goods back from the police and can auction them on ebay. That should bring in $600. I'm also gonna sell my remaining bitcoin which is another $300. Lastly, my check should cover whatever else remains. Less than a month the funds will be 100% again and I can transfer it to the next group buy "leader".

Hah, bitcoin has been one heck of an investment these last few weeks. I'm still glad I got in back when it was at $2 and everyone was all "what is bitcoin?"

Gotta love 19,250% returns over 3 years, sure been beating my regular stock portfolio (which has also done quite well) :-D

I have seen this too many times not to say anything. You guys are being scammed. This guy can't keep his story straight, and is stalling for time to take advantage of people's apathy and the time restrictions on chargebacks/disputes from payment providers such as paypal. If you can start some kind of chargeback/dispute using the method of payment that you used please do so IMMEDIATELY. I'm sure he insisted that you send him the money as paypal gift to "avoid fees", but hopefully some of you took the extra precaution and used the buyer protection that paypal offers. If you sent money sent by western union, its gone and you will never get it back. Let this be a learning experience for everyone on Longecity.

Alright seeing as none of the other participants voted I guess it is a 3-1 vote to just return the money. Sorry Gnappi.

Like I said tho, it'll take a few days to trade my bitcoin for cash. I'll put up my vaporizer on ebay in a few hours.

PWAIN, didn't u use Western Union. Do you have a Paypal? I can send you money that way instead.

  • can you pay me my share in an increment of a bitcoin? if that seems unfair to the other guys then please send me 1/10th of the bitcoin and split the rest up between the group

Thats not gonna happen, the group buy is not being transfered. I have 0 faith in this group buy and I want my money back NOW. For all i know, you two are really one person with two log-ons.

Has anyone received any money back yet? I swear to god if this continues for another month...

I think I will take the above poster's advice and talk to the bank tomorrow about filing a dispute and if not I can call the local police department near his bank's address.

I was trying to be cool, but its true, first it was 6 months before he was gonna pay us back, then we got pissed, and then he is supposedly selling stuff on ebay or selling bitcoin...and now its back to silence.

My life really is hard enough without dealing with someone who should have earned a darwin award years ago.

Guys, after everyone get's the BPAP, ISRIB, and Pitolisant. I'll ask my supplier if he can purchase this from Sigma if they have it and from there we'll figure out how to distribute it. This will be my last 'gift' to the community.
