not sure why metagene wants to return these people's money. what is this to do with him

I should be asking what does this have to do with you. Is there a problem?

Of course there is a problem.

Using your own resources to allow this scammer "off the hook" is not OK.

That wasn't my aim and I'm pretty sure he's not getting "off the hook" I believe I did state if all other attempts fail....

normalizing your suspicions are unfounded. The only thing I did to support koolk3n was help send out PM to members that possiblely wanted to be apart of what I believed was a legitimite group buy from the outset. My communication with him was fairly limited even during the Metadoxine trial. This was the last message I received from him:

Alright I sent you a refund. Can you post something on the thread about getting a refund? Thanks a lot and sorry about all this.

You want total transparency? I can PM you the rest.

If I knew it was going to turn into this debacle I certainly wouldn't have bothered. Maybe my approach is dumb but don't question my agenda.

tell him that he should communicate openly, in this thread, otherwise he raises suspicion about the possibility that he was an account created by you and a scam.

why refund only 2/9 anyway and ignoring direct questions in this thread?

Ok first off he hasn't logged in since Dec 1st, we never had that level of rapport and I'm not his mother.

Second. That he was an account created by me?

Let's get this straight, the burden of proof does not fall on me to prove my innocents. Instead of simply raising baseless suspicions try looking for objective proof. I will be happy to indulge you by providing personal information that can be verified by other forum members or moderation. Why not start with other group buys I've participated in? My real name and address can be confirmed by meatsauce, Science Guy, yadayada, etc. You can even try to extract the metadata from a picture I posted in the Pitolisant thread. You give me far to much credit if you think I could pull off such an elaborate ruse. If Kooln3 was simply my alt account why would I risk indicting a second account when I'm home free?

I never claimed my motives were purely altruistic. Obviously I stand to benefit from the group buy arrangement as much as anyone else but it's ironic that my involvement is questioned by normalizing who has absolutely nothing invested in this situation. It's easy playing the role of armchair whistleblower isn't it? I claimed to receive my refund right? Why should I show concern for anyone else? I do not have the means or desire to help Koolk3n. He is on my friends list but we are not buddies. Got it? Excuse my initial lack of righteous indignation, I only wanted to make things better.

I do apologize if their was a miscommunication, it's not personal. Like I said before I shouldn't have bothered.

the problem is that he is communicating privately but ignoring this thread which is just uncool and puts you in this kind of spot.
if it is wrong, then it might amuse you, but if you think about it clearly, without feeling offended (emotions cloud rationality at times) you can see that this is a possibility.

No the problem is he isn't communicating privately. I was mistaken this is actually our final PM.

? I already did.

Oops yeah you did. Sorry. I must have missed the notification.

Sorry if I sounded testy before but you'd have to do some serious mental gymnastic to interpret my actions as nefarious.

You guys should just file a dispute with PayPal if you paid that way. It doesn't matter if they freeze his account, you can still get your money back if its frozen. They just subtract it from his balance and go after him if the balance becomes negative.

Yeah I doubt he will pay everyone back now but I wouldn't be surprised if he is actually serving time on drug charges.

I will discuss shipping methods with scienceguy shortly. He seems to know how to ship it discreetly. I also have decent experience with the black market shhhhh specifically the Silk Road marketplace (Google it) so I know how they're usually packaged. Yes, it will be from USA. And it will come in powder. If you want to have it shipped faster, I can look into that as well but your total price will go up. I have already contacted the researchers, I am awaiting their response.

Pretty self explanatory :(

Guys, his mother is Japanese. Kentaro is his full name (and is Japanese) and shortened to Ken for use here in the US. I am pretty certain that is his real name.

He couldn't have opened a PayPal account easily with a false name. Yes, its possible, but not as easy after 9-11.

i didn't say he was Japanese. The address supplied is listed under his mother's name. He is likely an American with an American father (likely military). It is normal for Japanese mothers to give their American children an American and Japanese name.

Hey,

Thanks for showing ur interest in GEBR-7b. You are kinda late, but I can squeeze you in. The price for 1 gram is $160. Do you prefer Paypal or Western Union? If Paypal, send $167 ($7 extra because of 5% fee) to kenbeaulieu1@***.com immediately. Thank you.

Because we sent as p2p transfer not as goods and services.
His 7$ extra lead me to believe he wanted it as goods and services for which we could dispute and get a refund.
However the refund period for disputes is only 45 days I believe?
I sent him the money on 23rd of August +45days = October 9th
At that time he was stalling for time. Just much later he came up with reasons.

Try doing a chargeback with your credit card if you funded your paypal account with it. Otherwise, I've heard of times when paypal still allows a dispute after 45 days if you call them.
