If I was to order say... half a kilogram of Modafinil, minimum order. Since it's obviously not something I could order and distribute as a group order without inherent risk, it would enough to last me a loooong time of personal use.

Question is, how long can this stuff sit around? Should I refrigerate most of it?

modafinil shelf life keeps usually 2yrs. 500grams is too much for one to consume considering 200mg-300mg one time, and 2-3times per week.
even if you increase the amount and times, 500g would be risky to be expired。

Stored properly I would say its a pretty safe bet that it will last 5+ years. Medication shelf life has been tested and most manufacturer shelf life claims are very conservative:http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2000/04/02/drug-expiration-part-one.aspx However, that would be enough for 10+ years if you use it as Qiubai illustrated.

Also, as has been noted modafinil is a scheduled drug in the US. It seems plenty of people import it without a problem, but if you were the unlucky one to be caught importing so much, it could be something they would be more likely to go after as it would be such a large amount it would look like it was for redistribution.

Hello you all!
I bought pills of modafinil (modalert) which, even thought it was quite expensive for me (USD 95,00 for 100 200mg pills + DHL shippins) and also USD 60,00 in taxes to get in Brazil, it's a really good medicine! It worked so well to me!

I ordered a week ago, from the same company, 5g of powder: just for a test. I thing it's not gonna work the same way (same quantity) because the pill has some excipients. Otherwise, If it works pure, ok, I'll love it, if not, I'll have to find out the proporcion of the excipients and make the pills in the pharma lab at my university.
