Im back again... I was off iodine for a long while... just forgot.
Just restarted a few weeks back. No effects like the first Nascent Iodine dose - I think Ill explain that one a little more clearly.
(The OLD)
It was an eye opener - I described it as a triple jolt of coffee without jitters... but that was a summary.
Actually, it was close to what OP talked about nearly a decade ago - I felt (and I know this is subjective) like I was surrounded with a bubble of energy and things were 'purer' inside. I know this sounds weird to say... I mean how do you 'feel' that? Well, I did anyway.
Unfortunately, this only lasted a few hours. And redosing brought it back, but only for the first few days. Another thing was, like OP - I felt energy emanating from my eyes - not as strong as his description of multifractal Universes or whatever... but I definitely get what he was talking about. Same deal though, this didn't last long.
(After the last post and the PRESENT)
Now, that I have both Lugol's and Nascent Iodine - I see that Nascent has not much effect on me - a jolt in energy - better than lugols, but not by much. This could be because I started Lugol's earlier so I was iodine replete.
So for the time period after the last post, and up to the present - I actually tried Megadosing Lugols a few times. I used a 2% Lugol's Solution...so each drop was ~2.5mg Iodine/iodide. I took 20-25 drops at once, and did that once to thrice a day.
The effect was dramatic and perhaps, more importantly, different from my Nascent Iodine 'high'. Subjectively. it felt like for the first time in my life, my thirst was actually quenched. Imagine, you have been thirsty all your life, but never could get rid of it with water, you would not be aware of it, as it was the default state - but with iodine water, the thirst went away for the first time ever - thats the best way I can explain the sensation. Of course its not normal thirst, but thats the best parallel for the before/after state*.
Unfortunately, there was a side effect - stomach trouble that landed me too regularly on the Porcelain throne - it wasn't actually painful or anything - but the need came too often. So I had to stop.
(The PRESENT)
I decided to get back on after I randomly read one of Guy Abraham's papers at optimox.com that a small percentage of people have stomach issues with Lugols, and Iodoral is specifically designed to sidestep this. I bought a bottle of 12.5 mg, and had the BEGINNINGS of that thirst quenching sensation when I took ~75mg in a day (6 pills).
But I am running out of pills, so have ordered the 50mg bottle.
My hope is, I will experience that 'thirst quench', and further that it would be permanent as long as I stay on high Iodine. Will update when I get the 50mg pills.
Pity that I wasted so much time, simply because I did not know there was a way around the stomach issue. Also, I will add, even on 12.5 - 25mg over the last few weeks, while I haven't had any dramatic effects, I do feel more of a default reservoir of focus and concentration to study/work etc that I can draw on - my mind wanders less. So, even if I do not get the 'high dose thirst quench' effect again, Im probably going to be on 3.25-25mg iodoral daily for life (edit: or weekly equivalent).
Stay tuned.
* Note: If you read enough reviews on Amazon for Lugols, you will find some that say 'I love my Iodine water', one in particular says she loves it, but it makes her go - but she guesses its 'her body getting rid of toxins'. Of course the toxin thing is silly - but you can see the parallels with my experience anyway - lugols irritates (some) peoples stomach, but has some kind of other powerful effects, probably in higher range doses.
** Having reread this thread - even Turnbuckle talked about an effect only at high doses (23mg KI).
