I dont want to buy a combination of both because it usually contains a D3 dosage of 1000, I want to go for 5000 though (+1000 from my Multivitamins).
I read that you should always go for Mk-7, since it last for the whole day while Mk-4 lasts only for a couple hours. the source is an Amazon review though LOL, so it might be not accurate.
You are right as well, MK-7 seems to have a much higher bioavailability and plasma half-life than MK-4. However, if you take 5000 IU, you'd get 1mg of MK-4 from the Thorne liquid, which is a sensible amount (
LEF's Super K contains the same amout of MK-4).
5000 IU of vitamin D is what I take too, living in this dark and cloudy country
However, I should warn you that our infamous Zoll hold back that bottle I ordered from iHerb for about 16(!!) weeks. So if you order now, your vitamin D will probably arrive seasonable for spring time...
Oh, and don't ever think of ordering anything from outside of Europe that has more than 1000 IU as one serving printed on the bottle. Otherwise you are illegaly importing a prescription-only drug which will be seized and you may have to pay a fine.
If doesn't matter how much vitamin D is in the bottle, just what is suggested on the label...
