Hi

I have a very high nootropic tolerance. I took over 300mg of noopept once and i didn't feel anything. On another day i took around 180mg of sunifiram and i barely got an effect. I got this high tolerance by playing n back games, like brain workshop, and taking nootropics. Which is a very bad idea, by the way. (I have to write a post about this) This kind of tolerance doesn't disappears with time, even if i wait a long time like months or years it still prevails.
What i found is that NAD, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, can reverse nootropics tolerance and make them feel like it's the first time that you are taking them. Remember the effect you got the first time you experimented with phenylpiracetam? You can reverse all your nootropics tolerance.
You can follow the current discussion about NAD here: http://www.longecity...-strikes-again/

The ground-breaking study about NAD and aging: http://hms.harvard.e...-aging-12-19-13

This is a MAJOR finding. If someone else could confirm this, it would be great.

Best regards everyone

Wow that's great insight, I would love to have that initial phenyl rush again. Have you tried NAD yet? Great find.

I don't quite understand what you mean by: "Have you tried NAD yet?" I on NAD, that's how i found out about the tolerance reversal.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves, let's see if other people can achieve the same results as i did.
If they confirm it, it is a major major finding.

Best regards

It's a vitamin. It gives increased hunger and faster brain processing. That's all for now.

So tell me your protocol, and I'll test it.

The ideal person to test this is someone who has high nootropics tolerance and that the tolerance doesn't diminishes with withdrawal time. That person probably has mitochondria nucleus disconnection. Not just only receptor desensitization.
My protocol is nothing special, 1 or 2 source naturals coenzymated b-3 a day.

Experiment and share your results with us...

Don't know if you would consider this a nootropics tolerance effect, but I've noticed that when I take certain statins, I experience a bit of a brain fog and that the only effect I get from racetams thereafter is a headache. Same applied to other things like lion's mane, alcar, ginkgo, and codonopsis. Also got no perceivable effect, not even a headache, from ppq. Switching to the less lipophilic pitavastatin helped clear the fog and reverse the resistance. Have not tried nicotinamide riboside or NAD. Fwiw, I use c60/evoo and NAC.

Please first learn what nad really is and to know how to spell it to the full lenght says nothing. Nad is a very important substance in maintaining energy in every cell (eucaryotic and procaryotic), more specific in every mitochondria. Its part of the redoxcycle NAD/NADH+H and gets converted to ATP. They are called reduction equivalents.

Easy explanation for easy people. NAD enhances the cellresponse to signal molecules. So now u know why it helps u with your tolerance. It doesnt reverse anything, only enhances energy levels of every cell and that changes all!
wohoo my mood is rly good lol. sorry guys.

Edit: NAD -> NADH+H plays a role in glycolysis, citric acid cycle and respiration chain. IThink in the respiration chain nadh then gets converted to atp.

Does anyone actually know for sure what this "NAD-producing compound" actually is they talk about in the Harvard article?

Nicotinamide riboside??

They are talking about NMN, which is what Dr. Sinclair at Harvard has been working with. When NAD is taken orally it is destroyed in the GI track but NMN taken on an empty stomach, as well as if NADH is taken the same way, these two are converted into NAD.
