I use ashwagandha for its mood lifting effects. I am fairly certain that it brightens my mood almost describable as euphoria. It also gives me more energy and I find myself socializing much more on it. But ashwagandha is known to boost testosterone over time, i think as much as 40% in some individuals. This percentage doesn't apply to everyone I must add. For me, I find that my acne increases and my sex drive goes through the roof. The only negative that I experience is the acne, which is a big negative for me. Can anyone reccomend an adaptogen or supplement similar to ashwagandha but without known testosterone boosting properties? Or can anyone show me the mechanism in which Ashwagandha affects mood and motivation? I'm in a pickle right now and any information will be helpful. Thank you.
