NZT the fictional "smart drug"

My curiosity was struck and i stumbled upon nootropics.
Now i'm not a huge, take a pill sort of guy.

But if you can take supplements for bigger muscles why cant you take them to increase your learning capabilities.

I have tried most illegal drugs and each has its own effect.
But i know what i don't want from a supplement.

I am 25 and currently studying Chem, Bio, Physics and Maths
My background is in electrical engineering (electrician)
My biggest weaknesses are names and spelling, you tell me your name and within 2-5min i will forget it.
Its irrelevant information to me.

I'm looking for something to help both my short term and long term memory.
And more importantly the transfer from short to long term.
You teach me something and ill pick it up fast and be able to apply it.
Ask me to do it a week/month later and I cant.

Over the next few years the amount of information I will be taking in and expected to remember is going to be HUGE.
Something to help me recall all that information is a must if i want to succeed at the top of my class.

Ideally i don't want to be on huge list pills.
But i don't no where to start.
Can you please help me.

So far im thinking of just trying noopept

When somebody tells you their name, replying back with their name helps you remember it. Something like this:

You: What's your name?
They: Nathan.
You: Nathan? Ok Nathan, I'm .... [make sure to look them in the eye when you say their name]

Here you repeat the name twice straight away, which increases your chances of remembering it.

As for spelling, write down the words you have problems with, then make use of spaced repetition to make sure they stick. Anki is a free flash card program you can use.

I'll leave it to others to suggest noots. Noopept made me extremely irritable so I had to stop taking it, but others have had better luck.
