etizolam doesnt work much for phenibut withdrawal, only clonazepam and diazepam fully supress it
I appreciate this information, as it might help me avoid some misery in the event that I ever have to deal with phenibut withdrawal. Are you going by experience reports or are you aware of a pharmacological basis for this, or both? I'm curious about the pharmacology. But merely based on personal experience with both substances, it kind of makes sense. Etizolam feels significantly different from phenibut, to the point where it's pretty easy to see that neither is a very good substitute for the other.

Good post OP and pleased to hear about your positive experiences. I suspect that you also have had people regurgitate the same old "anxiety is caused by drugs and will go away if you discontinue" nonsense. The truth is that people that say that, don't understand the reason most of us go on these drugs in the first place. It's not due to "peer pressure" or to "be cool" or "get high". Most of us are well beyond those years. We are however the victims of a fraudulent and failed psychiatric and healthcare system in general, and are forced to look for real solutions that work for our mental health conditions since medicine isn't interested in cures, only sponsorships from pharmaceutical companies. Pleased to hear you've found one. To be honest I'm a bit apprehensive trying 2g a day given the horror stories that are abundant online, but it's great you've been able to taper as an experiment before going back on it.
Can I ask you - I have a very frequent side effect from phenibut and that is weakness in my voice. I can't find anyone else reporting this symptom. Do you ever experience this? Where when you talk it comes across as very quiet, or if you try to speak with a higher tonality your voice might break?

Glowing experience, glad to see someone stay at reasonable doses, yet not develop serious tolerance.

I love phenibut!! Well, I hate the taste.... But I use about 2g nightly for sleep for about 1.5 years with good success. I am a chronic insomniac.
When I first started taking it, I would do weird things, like make popcorn at 2am and eat it in bed with a bottle of hot sauce. For some reason phenibut used to make me hungry in the middle of the night.
Those weird effects are long gone. Now all I get from phenibut is much needed help falling asleep. Sometimes I skip a few nights in a row...…. No withdrawl symptoms at all.
In my experience phenibut has been great without creating dependency.

You're tickling the dragon's tail, and I do hope you get away with it. Some can.
However, there's not a reason in the world to think that phenibut won't cause the same tolerance issue as benzos.
