We've raised the requisite $6000 , with my $2000 that gives us enough for 10 grams + analysis. 

 

However, yesterday I heard back from my analytical laboratory and to build out the methods for analysis they will need at minimum 2 grams. That's $1600 in product and $500 in analytical testing (potentially more). So I see a couple options:

1) Everyone gets less so we all get analysis.

2) I increase the buy to 12 grams. I would probably front the cost since fundraising is tedious. 

3) No analysis. I don't like this option.

 

I'm leaning towards option 2 but it depends on the pricing and I will probably need to negotiate. So for the time being I'll allow stragglers into the group buy and it will officially close once we place the order for synthesis (in 1-2 weeks).

We will be using proton NMR to confirm the chemical structure and then HPLC to confirm purity.

do i understand you correctly, if you go with #2, you would front the additional cost, get things rolling along, and keep the buy-in open for additional persons in order to recoup the amount you fronted?

i would be ok with that. it seems like we could accumulate additional participants easily enough, taking into account how quickly we raised the principal.

@neuroatypicow. The scenario you're describing is #1. #2 would of course be the desirable option for all participants (@ Nick's expense)

Yes; but, would you guys be OK with having participants paying 100 USD for 100 mg as there don't seem to be many people willing to put in orders for 250 mg or 500 mg? It does seem unfair to the first participants who paid the lions share for 500 mg; but, then again would further solidify the possibility of making a second group buy given more people interested and happy with the positive effects from this first group buy.

to make it easier for peeps with less spare $ laying around to participate? yes. those of us who paid $400 for 500mg are getting a better deal anyway. the only downside of allowing smaller buy-ins is perhaps prolonging initiating the beginning of synthesis by too much. are we talking extra days, weeks, or a month?

We can ask Nick to set a deadline to last minute potential participants who are on the fence (say 1-2 weeks) and whatever isn't collected will be covered by Nick after that period.

Nyles has had good results with GLYX-13, which is an encouraging sign for NRX-1074.

From what I read in his thread Nyles was snorting the stuff. Might this be possible with NRX instead of converting it into a nasal spray? It seems like an oral dose of it is futile considering the low dosages we're going to get. I'm not injecting it.

Darn, I hadn't read this thread in quite a while and didn't know a group buy had begun and was nearing completion. Redan had recently PM'd me on Reddit, and I was willing, but I asked if there were lower amounts for sale since at the estimated intranasal and sublingual doses even 250mg would last 1-2 years, without even knowing if you responded well.

 

I'd certainly buy 100mg. If someone were to make a thread on r/nootropics about its efficacy and unique MOA, slipping in a question about whether anyone knew if it was available anywhere, and another poster linked to this thread and the details, you could rapidly fill the remaining gap with certainty.

Normally I would source a compound for personal use before bringing it to market. For example, I've been using several antioxidant mimetics like Tempol and Ebselen, that I plan to add to IRC.Bio.
