Only tea party nut jobs question Obamacare. Obama would never have people feel us up at airports or look at us naked. That's just a bad dream. He would never put his enemies on the no fly list.  He would never confiscate their computers and phones when they travel. He would never put more whistleblowers in jail than George W. Bush. We are not sliding into an Orwellian police state.  Obama would never train local police to brutalize their own citizens as if they were an invading army.  He would never deploy drones to kill accused terrorists without trial. The police in Atlantic City did not brutally beat a man for talking back to them and sic a dog on him. The police in Oakland did not crack the skull of an injured Veteran who was peacefully protesting. There is not an upsurge of police violence by enraged officers who think we have to obey their "orders." There were not three videos in the news of police brutalizing or stripping three different women in traffic stops. That didn't happen. The government doesn't shut down because it runs out of money. We didn't need to raise the debt ceiling for the eighth time. We have plenty of money to pay for Obamacare. We will raise more money by tapping uninsured young people. They have lots of extra money. The NSA is not tapping our phones and computers. They won't misuse our confidential medical records. The NSA did not put in a back door to get at your medical records just like they didn't do that with your computer and phone records. Just because the VA is grossly underfunded is no reason to think Obamacare will be the same.  Just because Medicaid was cutting off poor children off a few years ago is no reason to think Obamacare will be an underfunded nightmare. County hospitals and government mental hospitals are examples of government funded health care that are never nightmares and always properly funded. This post in not being written by a former Medicaid consumer who knows what she's talking about.

Just assume that no politician will ever do good by you. It doesn't matter if Ron Paul will make anime catgirls real, he's just as corrupt as any other.

Do not believe in any system, as it leads to complacency. Complacency leads to denial when things go tits up, as they always do.

Therefore the goal shall not simply be the here and now. Humanitarianism leads to terrible disease, poverty, and corruption. Look at Africa, their poverty only grows the more you feed them. Or for that matter any number of genetic deficiencies we feed in hope of eradicating them; until our self eradication from history. Instead it must be more forward-looking ideals, Spartan ideals. Allow the weak to die off, and the strong and able given a chance to fight. Further, a natural aristocracy that limits the abuses of the degenerate masses. Monarchy or aristocracy is the only reasonable form of governance, until further advances in the human genome are made. A primitive system, for evolving beings.

The King has no need to plunder, corrupt or deceive his people, to any relevant degree. He is already eternal, chosen by God, and always granted a place on earth. That is why he performs his duty; eternal joy! In line with his claim of absolute power, however the idea is enough for people as him. Even simple empiricism tells you he has eternity on his side; royal offspring. Who would want to squander all that! Whereas the rat forced forward by the plebs must grab all he can whilst he can, before he will leave that place of power. When the competition to rule is limited among the few, only small bloodshed occurs.

Obamacare is peanuts compared with the 4 Trillion USD squandered on a totally useless and misguided war in Iraq.

I thought it doesn't matter who the president is - either way you will be played the same because all politicans are merely puppets having their strings pulled by mega million dollar corporations like Monsanto, oil companies, NRA, etc. They invest a lot of money trying to get a man elected and once their elected, they will collect their dues!

Everything said before an election is merely word play and pandering to populist views. Some may indeed believe what they are saying and have a genuine interest and honourable intentions to follow through. But once in the big chair, they find themselves a puppet with no choice. It doesn't matter that they are the President. You think they would have power, but they soon realise they are pretty low down on the ladder of control. In short, it's the system that is broken. If the 'other guy' won in any election in the past, you would still feel just as screwed over as you do now.

The thing I would like to see is true costs of care, not inflated costs of care with the feds.

As an example, I went to the hospital a couple years ago and told me, "If you have $1,000 the bill we be paid in full or if you do it on a payment plan or insurance, it will be $12,000." Say what? Even with paperwork, why is it $12,000 vs $1,000 right now? That doesn't make sense at all. It isn't the "freeloaders," I use the term loosely, that are damaging the USA system, it's hospitals.

Know what they did to me? An xray and a bag of saline. lol. Not sure how an xray and saline is $12,000, but whatever.

I'm not sure how the op attributes even a small majority of the things he mentioned to Obama. The inability to stop something isn't the same as starting it in the first place.
