I've had an eidetic memory since I was born (nearly) - it started with recalling precise whole sentences (at age 5 literally) in video game scenarios from memorable characters. As a kid I was able to remember precise moments and areas and their rooms not just in games but places I went. I remember everyone's name and their face - even birthdates with precise accuracy. Anything I read in relation to work or non-work is automatically retained...this is apparent without nootropics but noots give me a stronger sense of creative 'zeal'.

Do you take coffee/amphetamines/other stimulants daily? What is your diet made of apart from normal food?

No amphetamines; but I have used them in the past. Only drink Coffee . Nothing else really but I do use either Albuterol or Clebuterol preworkout. Along with either C4 or stuff like that...

My diet is largely paleo-like; seafood, steak, tuna, chicken and eggs. I eat whole organic oats in a precise ratio with seafood protein. Predominantly seafood protein as to contain the OMEGAF-3 RATIO WITH GLA from Oats. I eat quite a bit of fruit; generally kiwi and mango's . Drink Pomegranate juice pretty often. Also eat lots of kale chips as a snack. So really everything organic.  I recommend, besides my work - that you read a book from Dr.Barry Sears called the "Zone" diet and another one by Kevin Trudeau; natural cures they don't want you to know about...technically it's banned cus the guy is in jail for reasons largely unbeknown to the public (what they say is likely skewed).

Did you respond just to argue with me and try to prove me wrong?

Guess what - you're wrong.

There was a lot more to it than 'fraud' because there wasn't any 'true' evidence of fraud..it was a fabrication by enemy competitors and people falsely reporting his fundings. Yes, he probably did evade the IRS a little bit but it doesn't constitute the disproportionate responses that he was given by the 'law' and penal system.

And officially his books are technically banned from a lot of shelves and any place still selling them is a qualified reseller..do your research. Also it's mainly a select couple of them that are universally banned.

No i responded because someone of your following in theis community shouldn't be passing out blatantly false and conspitatorial information.

From your own link, the FTC one, his books weren't banned. He was banned from producing informercials for any new books for a period of three years. The judge found numerous incidences of fraudulent intent with Trudeau's activities. You are more than free to believe that the judge was influenced by competitors or other outside factors. However, you have no eveidence or proof of that and your own links say otherwise.

Amazon, not affilaites there, amazon the corporation sells his books. If the FTC had ordered these books "banned", then they would be leagally bared from doing so. That is a simple fact.

I am not trying to pick a fight or "prove you wrong". I didn't attack you personally and as I said, you have a following here and people listen to you. It my humble opinion, its important to represent facts as facts and opinions as opinions.

Notice I didn't attack or criticize the content of the books. I have no way of knowing if any of the information contained within works or not. But I do know that his products weren't banned and his in fact in jail, for fraud.

Again, I didn't say all of his books were banned - and it wasn't the first link - it was the third - it was only a select few that were banned. Particularly the extension volumes of the weight loss books (weight loss cures) - and the free money book the exclusive platinum version. The natural cures book  however, was brought up in court as a reference to his credibility; assuming information of his was erroneous and conspiratal and thus contributing by proxy to his alotted response...it's the way the case was presented that erks a lot of people..and the fact hat his books were attacked by so many different political leftists at odd times leaves a lot of 'what if's' even for the most traditional minds.

If you follow to the comment section the OP says he is an internist at the psych dept the supposed patient was in. Piques my interest.

I found this the other day ;where an Individual was trainied by Derren B to be able to recall vast amounts of information, intuitively, by just slowly flipping pages of a book.

I came across this comment on reddit:

[...] Derren Brown acts as though this is a real technique one can do with practice. But in fact it's BS. In Derren Brown's book Tricks of the mind he admits that it's bullshit. He took a photoreading class thinking he was going to learn something but realized the class was just teaching him how to skim.

Source: https://goo.gl/DeUo1C

If it was doable by everyone, Derren would sell the method in one of his books. Maybe in this occasion he's experimenting with an ideal subject (we have eidetikers in this very thread); I find it interesting that Glen sees the answers as image flashes he has to interpret.

What are the common side effects of desmopressin? When I was between the ages of 11-13 I was on a drug for bed wetting and I'm not sure what I was, but it seems likely that it was desmopressin. Looking back at that time of my life, my memory was amazing. I've always been smart but the gap between me an everyone I went to school with used to be huge (around that age) compared to what it is now.

It seems strange that doctors would prescribe a drug to a child for bed wetting if that drug has any serious side effects, given that bed wetting is the grand scheme of things isn't that big of a deal.

Has anyone been on desmopressin as an adult?

I think everyone has an eidetic memory, they just don't know it. I mean, how do you remember how something looks without going into your mind and looking at it?

Which of the three lights on a traffic light is red? How do you know this?

Its very easy to memorize 3 colours in order, and people do it automatically. Photographic(eidetic) memory is when image in memory is so vivid that one could describe some landscape or any other object with great detail, like looking on photograph. A number of people claimed to have eidetic memory, but science has never found a single verifiable case of photographic memory. Most people showing amazing memory abilities use mnemonic strategies, mostly the loci method. But i think that there are 2 very plausible examples of people with eidetic memory: 1.Elizabeth- teacher from Harvard. Elizabeth could project complete sensory images onto a visual scene. For example, she could imagine a beard on somebody's face, and when she did so, she actually saw it. The image was so vivid she could use it to obscure parts of her field of vision, if she wished. However, she never confused her memory images with real perception.

2. John Von Neumann(you can see him in my avatar).

JvN was able to memorize a column of the phone book at a single glance Herman Goldstine wrote about him: "One of his remarkable abilities was his power of absolute recall. As far as I could tell, von Neumann was able on once reading a book or article to quote it back verbatim; moreover, he could do it years later without hesitation"

After reading some users comments on having this ability at a young age, I can definitely confirm this. I remember when I was in Grade 2 and memorized a 3 page presentation in front of the whole school in one day, word for word without stumbling or forgetting a single thing. I wouldn't call it photographic though, its more like I remember every word then say it. Hard to explain lol. Anyways, going through my Highschool years I had to use cue cards or paper to present to the class because I couldnt memorize pages of words for the life of me, and I remember wondering how I did it in Grade 2. Guess now I know. If any supplement existed that could bring back this ability, even for a few hours, I'd pay good money. Development on this topic would be great, because this is really like an NZT-48 type ability (sort of) that we lost, and would desperately want again.

I think its more like- if you imagine on a scale that on the left is depression that you cant live any longer, then being just normal like majority of other and on the right is healthy being that you feel more extraverted than other people, more right you go you get new abilities- so try not to be depressed, learn and get new skills. I hope you understand what i mean. From my example i think im just between being depressed as fuck and being normal although its still spinning- you know what is ssri paws. :) sorry for my bad english

Okay, obviously people have eidetic memory for things they see everyday such as traffic lights or the color of your room, but that's not what we're after. If you cared to read his comment, you would have seen that there was a person who glanced at a phone book and memorized a column completely. That's what we're after. If you have nothing useful to input, then don't.

The third link contains useful information. When I blindfold myself I notice an increased awareness in the perception of sounds. Unfortunately, I find it hard to get any appreciable gain in my imagery. I haven't been consistent though.

I heard about pseudoephedrine from India , being transported on wheelbarrows(from nootropics shop owner) so i guess having doubts is right. From what i have read it may improve memory but i dont think that its "eidetic memory drug". I have heard similar reports on PRL 8-53 and i tried it too but its very far from being an eidetic(photographic)memory.
