Perhaps this was covered already but I didn't see anything in three pages of search results I looked through. It seems Hydergine is no longer being made by Novartis and replacements are few and far between. I looked on QHI for some the other day and the link kept taking me to Piracetam so I emailed them and received this response -

Hello

Hydergine is no longer being manufactured, we have an alternative which
is product number 441.

We will look at the link

Thank you and be well

QHI

However this product is Dihydroergocristine Mesilate  whereas Novartis Hydergine lists Dihidroergotoxina mesilato on the box. Is this the same compound in a different language, does anyone know? It's also none too cheap for a generic if that's what it is, although neither was Hydergine at time of my last order.

Biogenesis no longer lists it at all and Anti-aging Systems still has the listing up but says it's discontinued. I don't understand how what I understood to be the most popular nootropic in the world can become so scarce all of a sudden.

From what online rumors are saying, it appears Novartis has discontinued their hydergine. The ingredient listed on the other product is one of the 4 alkaloids within hydergine; not exactly the same thing but it is an alternative.

I've read of people (ScienceGuy?) ordering it from compounding pharmacies located in the US. Has anyone else done this? I imagine doing this would require a valid prescription?

Novartis sold their rights to Hydergine a few years ago to Sigma-Tau. The last Hydergine I got was from Defiante which is part of Sigma-Tau.

I tried to get some in Belgium in various pharmacies to no avail. Also tried to get generics. No luck there either. It's discontinued due to European rules. Something to do with risk/benefit.

To clarify, HYDERGINE is the brand name of the pharmaceutical drug ERGOLOID MESYLATES, which comprises a proprietary cocktail of three specific ERGOT ALKALOIDS, namely: DIHYDROERGOCRISTINE, DIHYDROERGOCORNINE, and ALPHA- / BETA-DIHYDROERGOCRYPTINE :)

It is solely the NOVARTIS products of the drug ERGOLOID MESYLATES with the brand name HYDERGINE that are not being manufactured any more.

Because the drug patent expired ages ago ERGOLOID MESYLATES is in fact currently readily available via compounding pharmacies in the USA; this is how I obtain mine. However, this requires a PRESCRIPTION from your DOCTOR. It is extremely safe so it should not prove an impossible task to locate an MD who is willing to prescribe it for you ;)

The only online vendor I have found stocking it:  http://www.iron-drag...3cca66e18c9cd24

I haven't confirmed through purchase, I have no experience with this vendor in general.

Does anyone know where to buy "Hydergine". It appears that it has been discontinued on most of the online resources, including previously mentioned "international anti-aging system (IAS)" and "QHI.co.uk" since May 2014.

It is by far the best nootropics I have ever taken.

The ergoloid mesylates I got from Taiwan and Japan,  compounding pharmacies and "Iron Dragon" in US are completely different from "Hydergina" sold by IAS previously. (Although Hydergina is the brandname and Ergoloid Mesylates is the generic name of the same thing). On the contrary, those ergoloid mesylates make my brain extremely foggy and difficulty to think, more like a stupid supplment. Does anyone know why is this?

And where do peple nowadays get "Hydergine" from? IAS is now supplying a componding "Hydergin-pro". Did anyone try this? Does this work similar to previous "Hydergina" sold by IAS?

Thanks,

Weird to hear that the generic versions don't seem to produce the same results as Hydergine,

I'd also like to find an old stock of Hydergine then, as I was just about to order the new Dihydroergocristine Mesilate brand off of qhi.co.u but after reading this I'd rather just try to find the "original".

Is the Hydergine pictured in the link above drinkable or does it have to be injected with
