I admit that I am not up to date on what has transpired on this forum for a while, so maybe some of this has been covered. I apologize if I'm just uniformed.

Has anyone gone directly to Chomadex to ask if NR is available (only to LONGECITY members that are willing to be in a study) as a bulk power.

Costs are generally 1/3 to 1/5 for raw materials, even for a premium material such as NR.

Further, in a professional capacity Chromadex had their vice president call me a year or so about using Niagen in a product I was formulating. He called me because my application was unique and they wanted what I had.

They have become very picky in whom they allow to vend NR, but my chosen use of it was unique and attracted their attention.

I just sent a note asking for a price quote on 4100 kg to use for a study. Please chime in and tell me if that amount, purchased at a cost that would make a $30 bottle of HPN cost maybe $7-10 get a group buy going that could fulfill the 4100 kg amount. We are not locked into 4100 kg. I just thought that this would begin a basis for discussion.

Also, those that could help turn this into a study that could be published that Chromadex could use in their library of studies that are used for PR that would be willing to help fashion such a study, please get involved.

Thank you,

Mikey

I'm going to try & take NR out of my regime & try more fasting.

The recent HPN increase in price is a good push in that direction. I already take too many supplements.

Who couldn’t afford $27 per month for the first ever anti aging drug? What else is more important?

I'd love to pay $27/month for the first ever anti-aging drug.  I just want some evidence that it is an anti-aging drug.  So far I have evidence that NR increases plasma levels of NAD+.  That sounds like a good thing.  And it seems to help mice.  But, aren't we a little past due on showing clinical evidence that it does positive things for human health?  Or have I missed some studies being published?

Everyone is waiting for the Colorado trial results. It has been accepted a few months ago. After the first paper comes out, you will see many more coming in the next few years. 140 studies are in progress now and increasing. You might get tired reading about the good results.

So as you can see those discount links no longer work. Feel free to contact me via PM and we will discuss options.

In the CC, CEO said the publication of the Colorado clinical trial results is eminent.

No. It's correct.

4100 kg would be minimally required for the use I proposed to Chromadex.

Let us know how much they're charging for 4100kg Mikey. We could just put together a group buy.

I just did a 12 bottle subscription at Tru Niagen.com for $360. That is $30 per month at 250mg dose.

For fun, I did a little math. How does this 4100kg (or any large size like this) purchase work if below is right?

4100 kg x1000 g/kg = 4,100,000 g

one bottle of HPN NR is 250 mg x 60 = 15 g

so 4,100,000 g / 15 g = ~273,333 bottles

@ say $10/bottle that's a $2,733,330 purchase price from Chromadex

Even if everyone pays up for a year -273,333 bottles / 12 = need 22,778 participants buying in

Or up the dose to 1 g/day (vs. 250 mg), that's still 5694 participants needed

If this is a real study, who pays for and manages such a massive study, and how? Please explain what math could make this realistic or even plausible? Plus this much cheap Niagen flooding the retail market (just join the group buy) this hurts Chromadex (trying to) sell at a $30/mo with subscription? Why would they agree to undercutting themselves after they just corrected that problem?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for $10/b Niagen.... is just doesn't seem to add up. What am I not seeing?

The powder will cost $5 million and current ChromaDex powder sales is only $2 million per quarter. Current Tru Niagen sales only consume about $500,000 worth of Niagen powder.

In fact, the price in Hong Kong is even cheaper than in USA:

http://www.watsons.c...gen/c/truniagen

14 x 60 + 1 x 30 = US$3388/7.85 = 431.6

US$431.6/14.5 = 29.76 per bottle.

I could be wrong but I think you have your sums slightly wrong, I read 4 x 3 in 1 box sets is the offer, each box set contains 2x60mg and 1x30mg, so that gives 10x60mg as the total

2(60mg)x4=8 (bottles of 60mg)

1(30mg)x4=4 (bottles of 30mg)

Total in 60mg bottles = 10

I guess that bumps the price up some.

Edit, not sure I have the currency rate correct but i make that

3388$hk=$434.30/10=$43.43 p/b (60mg)

3388$HK=EUR364.10/10=EUR 36.41 p/b (60mg)

+ Post what ever that is from HK

Is

4 x 3 (60mg) + 2 x 60 mg + 1 x 30 mg = 14.5 x 60mg

3388 HK$ = 431.6 US$, ->  US$29.7 per 60 mg bottle.

is 4 sets of (3 x 60) + 1 set of (2 x 60 + 1 x30)

HPN not giving anymore deals for NR? It's strange, they don't even list bottles on their site anymore.

Looks like they may have some powder left (old stock?) and that's it:

Chromadex have stopped supplying them. They want you to buy TrueNiagen directly from them. HPN announced this around two/three months ago
