why? because i cannot think of any experience associating "romania" with quality. i much rather trust something "chinese" (big step) than "romanian". perhaps someone had good experiences and has trouble understanding what i mean, but from me and many others you might ask around, romanian is DIRTY WORD

If You still have problems to obtain it, You could alternatively try 9methyl-beta-carboline / 9-me-bc from e.g. tht.co

It has the nearly same effects

What have we decided is the proper dosage here?  That is, lowest dosage to realize a likely/reasonable benefit?

Also; what if you have low-ish/healthy blood pressure??
Is there anything one can do to counteract the blood pressure lowering effect?

I found this one:

The list of other potential benefits can go on and on, but it’s important to note here that most of these benefits can be gained even from a healthy person who doesn’t need to control their BP. The recommended dosage for blood pressure control is usually 80mg per day, although the half-life is very long. But for those who are wanting to protect their bodies and get the metabolic edge, a dose of 20-40mg per day may be all that is needed.

http://www.metabolic...-bdnf-and-acet/

I believe to read somewhere that 10mg/kg + the accumulation via the long half-life, are needed to get any cognitive improvements.

However I cant find it and got actually striking results.

As well as in regards to Dopamine:

Depression-like Effect of Telmisartan in Mice Forced Swim Test: Involvement of Brain Monoaminergic System

http://scialert.net/...=jpt.2012.87.95

vs. the claims above

So take this 10mg/Kg for cognition with a grain of salt or search for it.

What about this?

http://scialert.net/...12.87.95&org=10

It is 9 days since my last dose of telmisartan and I am finally coming out of a severe depression that came on in the first week that I was taking it.

Like Blood, I too noticed the background chatter in my mind going quiet, but maybe my normal awareness just happens to be mainly background chatter.

But my disclaimer is I am subject often to periods of intense depression which are very easily triggered.

Sorry; I didn't see that last bit of Flex's post - so I cited the same study as him about the Depression-like effect of telmisartan on mice. ( Wish I had noticed that before going on telmisartan!)

I suffer from Depressions caused by Ethylphenidate. Possible explanation: [*].

Dont ask me why does it only affects me, but I know that this was the cause and I´ve tried a lot of stuff for this depression.

Only mao-b inhibitors and a very few others do help.

So I´m searching Day and Night to repair and increase Dopamine transmission e.g. via Vmat2, Dat and the others posted above.....

[*]

Methylphenidate Exposure Induces Dopamine Neuron Loss and Activation of Microglia in the Basal Ganglia of Mice

...Unbiased gene screening employing Affymetrix GeneChip® HT MG-430 PM revealed changes in 115 and 54 genes in the substantia nigra (SN) of mice exposed to 1 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg MPH doses, respectively. Decreases in the mRNA levels of gdnf, dat1, vmat2, and th in the substantia nigra (SN) were observed with both acute and chronic dosing of 10 mg/kg MPH. We also found an increase in mRNA levels of the pro-inflammatory genes il-6 and tnf-α in the striatum, although these were seen only at an acute dose of 10 mg/kg and not following chronic dosing..

Therefore, my hope relies on something like this, Gastrodia elata or on Edaravone...

Edaravone guards dopamine neurons in a rotenone model for Parkinson's disease.

This abolishment was attributable at least partly to edaravone's inhibition of rotenone-induced reactive oxygen species production or apoptotic promoter Bax expression and its up-regulation of the vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) expression. Collectively, edaravone may provide novel clinical therapeutics for PD.

http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/21677777

This is interesting, by and large Methylphenidate and analogs have always been the smallest offender of the dopaminergics. In fact it facilitates the redistribution of VMAT to the terminal boutons, a very much desirable effect (and neuroprotective) for those wishing to curb DA dysfunction caused by internalization of VMAT when using Amphetamine based stimulants..

Correction to my own post...It is typically internalization of DAT that is observed, although perhaps VMAT as well to a lesser degree.

There might be a potential cure. Please refer to this thread. This is an enzyme which brought improvement in end stage AlLzhimers patient and he was able to walk again while he was almost  bedridden before and was unable to sit or stand on his own before. In the dose the patient was given he had no side effects. They say this might also help in other Neurodegenerative diseases.

NEW YORK, June 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Researchers at the Human Microbiology Institute (HMI) have uncovered a potential new Alzheimer's treatment that significantly reversed the late-stage effects of the debilitating neurodegenerative disease.

Logo - http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20160606/376069LOGO

The results, published in the Journal of Medical Case Reports, details the promising results that the research duo of Victor and George Tetz had in treating a 77-year-old Alzheimer's patient with the repurposed medication deoxyribonuclease I, an enzyme approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of mucus buildup in cystic fibrosis patients.

"Our results show potential for reversing the effects of a disease that dramatically impacts not only millions of patients around the world, but also their families," said George Tetz, scientific officer, at HMI.  "Our experimental drug has given one patient a new lease on life, and now we are continuing with our tests with the hopes of reversing the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease and other incurable diseases like dementia and Parkinson's."

According to the published case study, the male patient had been diagnosed with dementia and behavioral disturbance secondary to late-onset Alzheimer's disease 30 months before the researchers first saw him. He had been undergoing routine treatment, but his cognitive condition continued to deteriorate and he had rapidly progressing amnesia and behavioral changes.

The patient was unable to remember his name or family members, among other things, and had been diagnosed as terminal when his family agreed to try DNase I. Just two days after treatment began, improvements were seen. And he was soon able to recognize family members, dress himself, tie his shoelaces, feed himself and walk and ride an exercise bike.

"Treatment with DNase I allowed the patient to withdraw from a terminal state and resulted in significant improvements in cognitive and behavioral function, including the ability to walk and perform everyday tasks with near independence," said Victor Tetz, scientific advisor at HMI.

HMI, a non-profit research organization, is working to convert its work into a drug to help treat dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia and is characterized by a progressive loss of brain tissue leading to amyloid-b accumulation and severe decline in cognitive function.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease. The cause of Alzheimer's disease is poorly understood, and available treatments are limited in their efficacy, particularly for patients with more severe symptoms.

WE ARE TRYING TO ARRANGE A GROUP BUY.PLEASE REFER TO THIS THREAD.
