(This is a duplicate of my self intro to this site - just in case you missed it in the main forum . .)

People,

I have started setting up the "Life Extension, Science and Technology Party" (LESTp) in Australia with a view to running Senate candidates at the next Federal Election (due in 2016).  A quick overview of my background is:

- Originally a BioMedical researcher

- Spent a few decades in IT

- Have been involved with the Cryonics Association of Australasia since the late '90s and have been its Exec Officer for some years now

- Founded the Neural Archives Foundation and continue to be one of its two Exec Directors

- Started the "Neural Archive Me!" web site for dumping a person's life history into their own personal avatar by talking with it

- Have been an ALP member for much of my adult life and was an Alderman on Sydney City Council for some years

I intend to make:

- Health and Longevity and Voluntary Euthanasia / Pre-Mortem Cryonic Suspensions

- Radical increases in Science and Technology (particularly health) research funding

- Rapid conversion to Green technologies for energy production

the fundamental platform planks of the new party and the key discussion topics for the next election and would welcome the participation of any Australians here in the (daunting) project of constructing a new, successful, political party from scratch!  Of course, I think it is essential that we build up the International relationships and organisations as well.

I will post links when I am able to but Googling stuff should help until then and my personal site at philiprhoades dot org would be a good start . .

Regards and Long Life!

Phil.
