I am wondering if anyone could give me suggestions.  Aside from ADHD, OCD, and minor social anxiety, I have various IBS symptoms. They cause significant discomfort, and I've been trying to find ways to reduce them.

For whatever reason, the only supplement that seems to help is L-Glutamine.  I don't know exactly why it works, but I've read that it's effective for GI issues.  I usually take 500mg-1g before bed.  Unfortunately, I feel really strange the next day.  I get brain fog, and it is difficult to think clearly.

I'm not sure which is worse...the brain fog or the GI symptoms.  Is there anything that I can do?  I feel like I've tried almost everything.

Have you tried tianeptine for IBS? It's the new gold standard as far as I'm concerned. It would probably also be helpful for your ADHD, OCD, and anxiety.

I don't remember L-Glutamine having any gastrointestinal effects when I used it, but I definitely remember getting brain fog. The only thing that might help reduce the brain fog is an NMDA antagonist (like memantine), but those can also give you brain fog. It'll be a difficult balancing act.

I bought Tianeptine (powder) back in the summer, but I had so much trouble weighing it. I eventually gave up. I wanted to try buying the tablet form, but I was afraid that I would get a fake product. I also heard people saying they had hair loss, which really scared me. I probably am overreacting.
