Benzo withdrawal is worse than anything you are going through right now. Period. If you're thinking about adrenergic receptor manipulation, maybe try propranolol, a non-selective beta antagonist that has pretty strong CNS effects. I use it sometimes playing poker, and it utterly kills any nerves at a low dose. No startle response, no adrenaline reaction, it's great. It also makes my mood bleak after a while, as it's hard to experience excitement / interest in things (for me anyway), so I don't use it all that often. Still, if things are that bad for you, it'd be wayyyy better to have a dark mood than getting hooked on klonopin. Please, please, please listen to me. Any doctor who prescribes benzos for anything but intermittent use or for less than a month should be at a minimum disbarred, dishonored, and beaten with a rubber hose (filled with cement).Klonopin works amazing for my anxiety. I'll be on it at least 3 months. So inevitable benzo withdrawl and hopefully not regression to previous patterns.
I guess I could talk to my Dr about clonidine, an alpha 2 agonist. That could help but the side effects would be bad.

Doctor admits he knows nothing about TRT.
I have gyno now and I'm getting a mamogram. Same doctor wanted to put my dad on TRT when his problem is just high E2. Ridiculous.
Some weird things are going on now.
I just slept for about 18 hours. I'm trying to go without klonopin for atleast a day off every other day. It's really hard for me and in the beginning I'll need another anxiolytic on the off days. What about a sympatholytic? Like clonidine? That will agonist a2, reducing NE. For now on my off days I take gabapentin.
also I let things get very out of hand.. i started IVing Dilaudid every 4 hours to kill my boredown, I was tired of PAWS. So now I'm going through withdrawls. No worries, I've got that part covered.

Lol at that kava wax and steroid cycle reply.
At this point, before my life was so hellish I was gonna kill myself. I'd rather be addicted to every drug on earth than feel like that again. So right now I'm getting off of dilaudid. I used to be afraid of needles, dilaudid rush killed that.. so physical withdrawl isn't bad, mental state is not bad at all surprisingly.
Friend commented that my social skills have massively improved since the last time we talked. So I'm improving even though I took a huge nosedive with the dilaudid. I have no will to continue that, no cravings. I just want to live a normal life.
TBH I am hesitant to try a beta blocker rather than an alpha agonist.. because beta blockers would have bad effects on body composition.
I'm searching for another doctor. Also need to get on HCG and an AI. Nuts are literally the size of small grapes now. And ache all the time.

Sorry for the multiple posts and the ramblings.. I'm on my phone and can't edit my posts.
important questions:
Pregnenolone, and DHEA. Are these suppressed if the nuts are not working because of TRT supplementation? And how will this affect mental state?
Is there anything to upregulate GABA A?
Will A2 agonists cause longterm down regulation that would make me more anxious than before?
Also, Buspar. Has to do with 5ht and oxytocin (indirectly) this would decrease social anxiety and increase anticipatory anxiety (which I'm terrible with the anticipation anxiety).
Is there something that reliably decreases anticipatory anxiety? I read a study that showed that xanax didn't even decrease anticapatory anxiety.

Anticipatory... Alcohol? Don't touch phenibut.
Frequent sex would help. You're on trt and kpins, add Theanine and frequent sex.

norepinphrine and adrenaline do not cause or increase anxiety, they are just released during stressfull times to help you handle the situation.
