I'm wondering if there are any studies done on how much acetylcysteine gets converted to cysteine (and which enzymes are responsible for the conversion) and how much reaches main blood circulation as NAC. Furthermore I'm wondering if co-supplementing with l-cysteine might diminish NAC's conversion to cysteine.
