LongeCity is, first and foremost… a forum. A meeting place. A conversation.

 

What one finds here is only as useful and informative as the people who come together in these halls choose to make it. In our own small way we offer tools. Options. Opportunities. To make a difference in the broader, global effort to abolish the blight of involuntary death.

 

So how can YOU make a difference?

 

I: Firstly, it takes less than 30 seconds to make a small but sizeable contribution to the quality of this site – this cost you nothing. 

 

II: If you want to make a more substantial difference, join us as a full Member. This is where you get a real voice in the strategy and planning.

By contributing to the 2015 members survey about what we could be doing this year.

 

III: All Members with talent and drive are invited to join the ranks of LongeCity leadership.

Typically this starts of with leading a small project or initiative and in time could lead to a position as officer or director of LongeCity.

 

The best ways to make a mark:

a) 'adopt a forum'

b) become a 'guest editor' for a month

c) lead a certified fundraiser or a few small grants to successful conclusion  

d) convene a regular local gathering

e) develop and lead a LongeCity project

(Swapped the rocket that we used in January as icon for this post - western new year's is over, the Chinese new years has just begun. According to the LongeCity constitution our 'new year' starts in April, prefaced by a focused period of leadership review and reflection in March. This brings the above call further into focus. )
