neurogeneration, it seems most of those negatives associated with berberine tend to be related to whole goldenseal root which i have read before is not really a very good idea to overdose on. there are a bit more sources of berberine than goldenseal root, but im not sure if berberine is exactly the same in all sources and if it directly specifically is causing the DNA damage.

No old herbs have proven to extend lifespan or we'd have humans alive today over 200 years old to tell us about it.
perfecting the atmosphere which i'm sure has an effect on lifespan. Or perfect the building material that doesn't affect the physical and mental negatively with xenoestrogens and the the likes. Fasting/calorie restrictions is just beneficial short time. If there was something know that increased lifespan I don't think it would have been let out to the public to know. I think we are far away from that possibility.
