I've been taking 150mg of armodafinil (Wakalert brand) for about 2 months. My regime was not structured as some weeks i was taking it every day, some - only 1/2/3 times per week and some weeks i did not have it at all. Now i've been off it for a week or so but i started having this problem which i have never had before. My left ear is blocked and i cannot hear very well with it, and i also hear a rhythmic noise which sounds like my heartbeat quite distinctly in this ear. GP told me the ear might be blocked because of wax build-up and prescribed ear drops for a week, which have not done anything at all. Having done some research, i read about the condition called pulsatile tinnitus which has the exact symptoms i am experiencing. Did anyone experience anything similar on armodafinil (or any other nootrophic or SRIs or anything else)? Will this stop after some time off the drug or should i take some serious actions like go for a check up and tell them i've been taking a prescription drug without having the need for it? What advice do you have for me as to what i should do? Any help appreciated!
