All in the question
Do you think ScienceGuy is dead by NSI-189 overgrowth hippocampal implosion or by side effects from long-term Piracetam?

Sorry, but my opinion is to delete this thread, personally I do not find it funny, you may want to start something like a general question of possible, long-term negative effects of nootropics or something in this line?

Sensationalist title is sensational.
I can't speak for Science Guy's personal well being but I'm fairly certain he is still alive. (based on what I can surmise through a google search anyways)

He has moved onto bigger things, has better ways to spend his time, and no can longer keep up with the forum's prodigious output.

I've been on several forums, people come and go. I guess people are probably entering another stage in life, where they are too busy to read forums. Or decided that the forum
was not really giving them what they need anymore.
In the case of ScienceGuy I remember he left because he got sick of people accusing he is a scam and a few other reasons. I think he had a bad experience with the community here when he did the colouracetam group buy or that benzo thread.

To be fair, that benzo thread is ridiculous.
He tried to drum up some fear about anxiolytic substances being addicting even though there's no evidence to suggest habit formation/addiction potential in ANY of the substances he mentioned.
All over the pretense that their MoA was too similar to benzos, therefore, addicting.
Then doens't do enough research and goes and suggests literally the closest thing we have to benzos in nature, honokiol & magnolol (in magnolia, relora) which are PAM's of GABA receptors.
There was more broscience in that thread than in the CILTEP thread.

If anyone knows of another community he's posting in I'd like to know. I found him to be a valuable resource.

I wouldn't have phrased the question like that, but it would be nice to know if he's doing alright.
Having read a number of threads he took part in, he took a prodigious amount of BS from lesser members over some truly petty things.

I miss him.
Maybe he'll hear about this thread and come back.

I've been wondering about ScienceGuy and dug up this thread after coming across a rumour on r/nootropics that he had passed. I prefer to think he's moved on as the 'COLURACETAM - User Feedback' thread was one of the most informative I've read, and was the inspiration for my trying COLURACETAM, which I now love.

He drank several cups of chamomile tea, but the REBOUND AND WITHDRAWAL has taken a huge toll. He has not recovered since which is sad, because he planed to get a new member of the racetam family synthetized for a bargain of 65.000 bucks. It's that old familar story...

Lol, I laughed, and it's funny, but the guy's still a legend, and I believe he meant well with that Benzo thread - for those that know, Benzo withdrawal is pretty horrific, though admittedly some of the things on that list were pretty benign.
