I wonder why there isn't any discussion of Trichostatin A? It upregulates the gene responsible for GDF-11 which increases GDF-11, and with Lovastatin was found to reorganize heterochromatin (heterochromatin and aging was recently in the news).

It does too much (for instance on follistatin) to be sure this drug is safe for human consumption

What about follistatin? If it increases muscle, GREAT! Muscle loss is one of heavy hitters of the aging process.
I just read an article from this December that worms given Trichostatin A had their lives and healthspan extended.

Trichostatin is often overlooked in terms of its longevity benefits. In theory, it should be beneficial but it is still a novel drug and not much research has been done into its safety. I would, personally, stay away until more research is done.
