That's what happens when you have the scientific community dogmatically pushing T4-only on everyone even when people still feel bad...
You get a 'sect' which dogmatically pushes the complete opposite...
Truth is usually somewhere in the middle. I found that for NDT (and T3 in general) to work, it has to be micro-dosed very frequently throughout the day (every 1.5 hours or so), to mimic the thyroid's natural production as closely as possible. Difference being, the hormones in NDT are bound to thyroglobulin meaning they are much more easily deactivated should they be taken in excess (simply by not being freed from the transport protein, if we go by the theory that only FT3 and FT4 are biologically active), whereas synthetic T4 and T3 as found in Cynoplus are already in the free form, and as such, act immediately and will generally cause a negative reaction when taken in excess.
I have taken up to 4 grains of NDT in halfs and whole tablets and have found that taking just TWO grains, but in 1/4ths spread out through the day, works much better. Taking half a pill or a whole pill at once is just wasting excess T3, and therefore money.
There is also the idea that natural hormones are superior to synthetic even when the synthetic includes T3, I believe that synthetic hormones can be more effective for people in certain cases simply by being harder to neutralize, and they have been much more effective in raising my temps and pulse which NDT, despite it making me feel good, does not do.
NDT also contains (technically) T2, T1 & Calcitonin, so there is that.
What I am really looking forward to is stem cell thyroid replacement... having to pop pills multiple times daily for the rest of your life sucks. I hope to get a new thyroid within 15-20 years.
