I am in the heat of withdrawal from Phenibut and it's actually painful to even write this....but here we go

 

Phenibut had an effect on me which I can only describe as miraculous... At the time I was unemployed and couldn't even get out of bed bc of depression. I felt, and still do, that my life long battle with anxiety and depression was due to a problem with my GABA-B.... I literally thught that this was a gift from god

 

I was taking tianpetine at the time as well and needed to stop it....what happened then I can only describe as pure hell....Opiate withdrawal on par with heroin....I don't want to hear from the tianpetine naysayers bc I know what happened to me and you don't...so many others have gone through....Anyway I was using about 8g of phenibut daily (yes I know this is a very high dose) and increased it even more to battle withdrawal. This was a huge mistake as I blew the gasket off my gabab receptors...

 

I know phenibut has lost its magic bc I am not really withdrawing.... several months ago I didn't have phenibut for several days and I went through significant withdrawals....Now If I don't take I get certain symptoms, which I will talk about here today, but dont get thata writhing pain like before

 

My current symptoms are beyond weird..The odd thing is I am still taking 9g phenibut but am still going through the portion of withdrawal I am being exposed to....and I need help with them...need meds to combat this

 

1. Slight pulstate felt in my hands where they twitch slightly. It doesn't happen when I focus on them but rather when I look at the tv ...then I feel like slightly twitch....its scary and absurdly annoying... I am currently taking baclofen but it doesn't seem to be helpful

 

2. Whenever I fall asleep I wake up like I have taken 20 valium.... Can't speak correctly..incoherent...slurred speech....I am completely exhausted.... I have fallen asleep on the road twice and obviously this cannot go on

 

2. Not funny - noticed the past few weeks of high dose phenibut led to excessive porn watching....I can't get enough and the sexual fantasies have become weird and unhealthy

 

I refuse to believe that these symptoms are uncommon....While medicines always have a unique aspect to them they also cause similar symptoms ..always...I have read other posts with near identical symptoms... I have no issues with being dependant on it for the rest of my life so I am will be utilizing bacopa & fascoracetam to try and up regulate receptors...but really need somethign for the hand twitching...please help

Your not even in withdrawal. You are experience the rebound effects of PEA and dopamine. The higher the Phenibut dose the more of a rebound there is. The same thing happens with high dose Baclofen. You won't actually be in Gaba withdrawal until you lower your dose.

 

My suggestion is get some benzos. 7 days of Diclazepam and you'll be good. The benzo's won't have as much of an effect as long as your still taking high doses because you'll just be trying to cover up the rebound effects. The first day and a half off Phenibut may be difficult but after that the benzo's should cover all anxiety and the symptoms should only last around a week.

 

I've withdrawn off Phenibut over 5 times and have been using it off and on for close to 8 years.

Its funny you think your having withdrawal symptoms when you are overdosing on Phenibut. Thats why you wake up feeling like you took 20 valium. Then during the day the Dopamine rebound effects start coming through which cause excessive horniness, bright colors, desire to socialize etc.

 

I guess if you don't understand the drug you can mistake the rebound effects which can cause anxiety, hallucinations, paranoia for withdrawal.

 

In my early days I used to use Suboxone for the withdrawal. I had no opiate tolrance and would get extremely Jammed off 4 mgs'. The first 24 hours there would be extreme paranoia, shakiness and minor hallucinations. The opiate high covered this somewhat. It made it bearable. Then after 36 hours the actual Gaba withdrawal starts which is the same as benzo withdrawal. This only lasts for 5-7 days. Usually only 5 days for me and i've taken the drug for 2 years straight one time.

 

I would def get some benzo's and just completely stop taking phenibut. THe first 36 hours will be tough because you've been overdosing but after that the benzo's should def cover all the withdrawals.

 

Once you've withdrawn off the phenibut and you still have bad anxiety you could try just maintaining on 1-2 grams but don't take more. Remember the more you take the more of a stimulating rebound there will be.
