Hi,

This post is to open up a discussion about the possibilities of Fruitflow singly or in combination with resveratrol or other nutrients such as pterostilbene. I only have found 1 reference to Fruitflow here as a supplement in somebodies list. No discussion.  The estimated study completion date is February 2016.

Here is some information from the gov ClinicalTrials site: https://www.clinical...how/NCT01766180

"The purpose of this study is to determine whether Fruitflow-II, Resveratrol (resVida), alone or in combination, are effective in the treatment of memory problems in adult patients with memory impairment. We also evaluate effects of these medications on blood flow to the brain and fitness, to find whether the possible improvement in memory is associated with the alterations in these parameters."

There are 2 versions of Fruitflow according to the Brickerlabs website which explains it like this:

"The liquid cap was part of the first generation of the development of Fruitflow and there are no formula studies on this formulation and DSM is uncertain about stability of this form.  We worked for several years with DSM on the development of the next generation and our capsule, OptiFlow, which is a powder concentrate.  The powder form is much more concentrated and has much better  stabilities plus all the studies apply to this formulation.  By adding the ResVida, trans-resveratrol to the formulation we give our product another benefit."

Thanks in advance.

This purely informative, or speculative, experimental,

what's the objective?

Because there are numerous other ie. more efficacious options/alternatives for Brain Health...

May sound it but no offense intended, just inquiring with a general Interest

Thanks for the reply. I have no agenda other than looking for any first hand experience with the product, the combination, or even pure speculation as to if it could have potential to effect the brain.

I guess that I could have done it in a manipulative way, by posting the marketing information thus drawing out opinions to the possibility, or to refute what they are claiming. Something like this.

I saw a tomato product which is claimed to work in a more comprehensive way than aspirin for cardiovascular health. As I can not take aspirin, I looked into it. When I researched it, I came to the referenced study which is ending, and is testing whether this tomato product,, alone or with resveratrol, can help brain related issues such as Dementia, and maybe even Alzheimer's. Unless a trusted source, such as Life Extension which does great research and is my go to for information, looks into the tomato product, I am reluctant to try it.

Does anybody here have a direct experience with the product or even simply have an opinion as to if it might work alone or in combination with resveratrol? Maybe it can transport resveratrol across the blood brain barrier? Maybe useful in combination with pterostilbene?

Thanks for the website, and the effort put forth by the members. Those of us without the ability to judge research are lucky to have access.

* FruitFlow is just water-extract of tomatoes. What if I crush or puree tomatoes, how many kilograms or grams of tomatoes should I eat and is the optimal dose known or not?

* What is DSM?

* Tomato Water-extract. Didn't find information from consumerlab.com examine.com or linus pauling institute. Where can I find more information?

Hi Viikki,

DSM appears to be DSM Nutritional Products, Inc.a collaborator on that proposed study.  I have not looked into Fruitflow any more.
