Sounds like an interesting and unique idea.
An easy fundraising idea could be that local chapters hold a coffee morning in a public place where there is also literature on this cause to give out to people. I know that these type of fundraisers are popular with cancer charities. A raffle with prizes could be another good one.
Another theoretically easy one if you are in a workplace where the majority support life extension would perhaps be to wear a certain colour or item of clothing like what they do for Jeans For Genes day where people donate to wear jeans to help people with genetic disorders.
If it was a festival like Christmas, you could perhaps sing traditional songs if there is a group large enough that supports life extension and get the public to donate. Busking if there is a band of you who are musical to raise funds potentially could work at other times of year.
