I don't know if this is true, but I heard the longest living person ever ate a kilo of dark chocolate a week and she lived 122 years.

so compared to all the other people who lived beyond 100 and didnt eat chocolate, you state the one person who did and live that far and state chocolate is the reason? everyone eats chocolate and at least half of those eat dark chocolate. its hardly a good indication anyone will live beyond 100 eating "a kilo" of the stuff.

Jean Calment is the lady who lived to 122 (1875 - 1997)
https://en.wikipedia.../Jeanne_Calment
Born when Ulysses S. Grant was President, 26 when Teddy Roosevelt was elected, 70 when WWII ended, and then lived until 1997. Olive oil, wine, and chocolate are cited as part of her lifestyle along with light use of tobacco products. The thing that strikes me is that she remained active. Taking up fencing at 85, riding a bike until 100, and living alone until 110.

so alcohol and tobacco use. im not sure why you guys concentrate on her specifically anyway lots of long lived individuals out there and all of them have completely different lifestyles so the association might just be DNA

She probably gets mentioned because she lived longer than the others. I agree with you that getting focused on her beyond passing curiosity is probably unwise.
