After doing a bit of research about dental plaque and different types of bacteria

i came up with the idea of using uv-c light to sterilise one's mouth and kill all dental plaque (bacteria)

every morning , as a way  of protecting ones teeth.

UV-C light approved by the NHS and used in hospitals and clinics worldwide - Now available for domestic use

Third party scientifically tested and proven to kill up to 99.9% of germs and allergy causing contaminants

Use in the home, office, or on holiday - Can be safely used on any surface or item and will not cause damage

Environmentally friendly, UV-C is a natural germicidal light, reducing the need for harsh, harmful chemicals or sprays

The UV-C light helps to eliminate germs on surfaces and items as well as destroy dust mites and their toxic waste that might be living in your bed or furniture and can cause splenitis, pneumonia, asthma. It also destroys bacteria, mould and microbial pests which can affect asthma and allergy sufferers.
The UV-C Miracle Wand is a hand held, 20” unit housing a powerful UV-C light. It is a safe and effective tool that provides rapid sterilisation of any surface. The UV-C wand uses germicidal light that has been scientifically tested and proven to kill 99.9% of germs, viruses and bacteria as well as dust mites, bed bugs, fleas and their eggs. Including H1N1 Swine Flu, Staphylococcus aureus and E.coli as well as others. UV-C Light Products protects against avoidable illness, allergies and food borne infection. Use in office environments, home, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

What is UV-C?
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses germicidal (UV) light at a short wavelength of 253.7nm, to kill microorganisms. It is effective in destroying the nucleic acids in these organisms so that their DNA is disrupted, causing them to split and preventing them from reproducing.

UV-C doesn't normally reach the earth, whereas longer range UV such as UV-A and UV-B does; these longer range UV frequencies can cause damage to humans through exposure and because they produce ozone which is damaging to health in quantity. UV-C does neither of these things, therefore, is perfectly harmless to anyone other than the germs!

UV-C is quite safe(it can cause skin burns (sunburn if intense enough.)

and intense UV light of all spectrums is used regularly in dentistry to set the dental glues

i am  currently sourcing uv-c light emitting diodes (the real ones are not cheap)

with the end goal of making a small device placed in the mouth once a day (may be needed less )

Killing all bacteria might not be smart, bacteria are not all armful and they do compete with each others, good bacteria keep under control bad ones and are needed for optimal health.

Most dangerous places for bad bacteria are under gum line where light doesn't reach.
