I am participating in the micelle quercetin trial mentioned here: http://www.longecity...g-20-available/

Why? Because it seems a though there is little chance of negative side effects, a tiny chance of some improvement in health metrics, and I am getting tired of people around here just reporting subjective experiences (reporting their placebo effects, essentially).

Before and after, I am going to get a blood test. So here is your challenge:

I don't want to spend "hundreds" on a full spectrum aging bio-markers test. What type of commercially available blood test is available that might show an effect specifically from quercetin? What marker might get tweaked by this trial?

Don't know what specific would be appropriate to track quercetine effects. But you don't have to spent 'hundreds' on the most basic lab tests - which usually are covered by insurance - and which should show some effects (if you had health conditions to begin with):

CBC, electrolytes, thyroid, kidney and liver function markers, basic cholesterol panel, fasting and postprandial glucose, blood pressure, HbA1c, CRP, homocysteine, cortisol, testosterone, iron markers, copper are the most basic. The most important would be having such tested before, and a couple of months after commencing supplementation of a particular compound.

In a world where a substance has to be patentable to be proven effective all we have is subjective experience, and which is also all what you'll ever get from your trial. And to be honest, subjectively being healed by non-patentable compounds is what I never would become tired of. Especially with a condition otherwise not reversible by patentable pharmaceuticals, as in my case. :-D Long live the placebo effect!

I just started.  Noticed my eyes became very clear but it does not meet mind's criteria.

Don't get me wrong, I am super happy when someone sees positive results from experimental supplementation, but just bummed out that it rarely translates to other people (because the placebo effect is so significant).

Then the real important question would be: How best to harness such a significant placebo effect?

I don't think a forum topic for this particular trial has been started yet, but it is a good idea. It would be good to organize reports. I will see about getting something set-up.

I have had some very interesting results so far.  About 3/4 of the blemishes on my entire body have fallen off and the rest are shrinking.  I have taken a heavy dose of 3 - 6 squirts first thing in the morning.  What would cause this?  Mind has a better background than I and maybe he has some suggestion.  I have been taking it about 2 weeks.
