Hi there,

having suffered from a concussion about 4.5 weaks ago, I wonder when it should be okay to drink again. As I enjoyed one to two beers a day, I would like to enjoy them again.

How long would you be abstinent?

Thank you very much for your answers beforehand!

Best regards

Not being moralist, but why exactely would a nootropic junkie on longevity forum wanna drink alcohol? I would find myself better drug (maybe because I'm not a bear drinker).

As for an answer, I think one bear wouldn't make any efect on brain injury. But if there was an organic injury (brain a bit smashed), I would't drink it for a long time.

Thank you very much for your answer. You are not moralist, you are raising a good point. As I worked it out for myself, I would consider a life without beer and wine not a very happy life. I think one must always balance his intention for longevity and his "guilty pleasures". In Germany we have a common joke (yes, even germans have jokes :D):

Patient asks Doctor: "Doctor, how can I live up to 100 years?"

Doctor: "Do you drink?"

Patient: "No!"

Doctor: "Do you smoke?"

Patient: "NO!"

Doctor: "Do you have eat unhealthy food?"

Patient: "No!"

Doctor: "Why, then, do you want to live to 100 years, after all?"
