Joint Health Herbs and Supplements for Lyme Disease?

I have tested positive for Borrelia Burgdorferi, bartonella henselae and Babesia. Currently, I'm taking IV rocephin w/ minocycline everyday and afterwards, zithromax followed by monolaurin (Lauricidin) and malarone.

 

The IV rocephin helped tremendously with neurological symptoms but seemed to be the culprit in engendering this terrible migrating arthritis. The arthritis could also be the result of an immune response causing damage to my tissues and joints, not really sure. Still, I have excruciating joint and bone pain, so bad that it takes me an hour or more to get out of bed.

 

I take my essential minerals, a B-complex, vitamin D, due to very low levels and other vitamins to replenish my body from the chelation of the antibiotics and the infections consuming what little minerals I have left. Magnesium malate/glycinate and Zinc helped greatly with sleep and energy. Nevertheless, I'm looking for arthritis and joint pain supplements.

 

I need something that won't mess with my hormones anymore than the antibiotics but will help promote collagen, cartilage and joint repair and bring down the pain. Not trying to put myself deeper in a hole than I already am.

 

Curcumin, for inflammation (COX-2 inhibitor), Boswellia Serrata, fish oil, causes anxiety sometimes, glucosamine, glycine, collagen are all on my mind. I also suffer from low T, so maybe getting that back up will help.

 

Another problem I face is that I do not want to suppress my immune system too much. I understand curcumin elevates IL-10 but inhibits IFNy and IL-12, both IFNy and IL-12 help to fight infections. So I'm trying to create some kind of joint health protocol that doesn't suppress my immune system from effectively fighting infection. Any input would GREATLY be appreciated!

Ginger is another COX-2 inhibitor.  Bone broth may have its benefits as well.  Icariin and citrus flavonoids (including naringen, morin, rutin, and chrysin) have a protective or facilitative effect on cartilage, while quercetin and fisetin may be detrimental.  Also, berberine has a protective effect via Akt activation.  I would post a berberine meme with the ancient aliens guy holding his hands out, but sadly I'm pressed for time.
