Relieves occasional constipation and softens stool.
MiraLax (polyethylene glycol 3350) is a laxative solution that increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements. MiraLax is used as a laxative to treat occasional constipation or irregular bowel movements. (2016 Pubmed)
Alternatives: Consuming the Aloe vera gel is one of the proven and researched natural laxatives there is. A tablespoon of olive oil and teaspoon of lemon juice. Chia seed and flaxseeds contain the kind of fiber that lubricates digestion. A glass of Prune juice a day will help things flow in your plumbing down there.
I''ll mention that my bowel movements have never been better than when I'm eating a whole coconut every day. I actually notice that when I eat a whole coconut I pass very little of it, raw coconut is so useful my body uses almost all of it, very little of it passes easily through me and ends up in toilet.
Alternative Drugs: Dulcolax, Colace, Fibercon.
