I know of a site called goodgifts.org that allows people to buy donations to a specific thing as a "gift" to themselves or others. The buyer receives nothing physical but gets a paper or e-mail card detailing their gift. One of the items is £10 to support development of an Alzheimer's vaccine. I was wondering if it was perhaps a good idea or even possible to set up a similar store for life extension based charities such as perhaps donations that buy a research item or that provide training to work in labs to defeat ageing. I think that Oxfam does something similar where you can buy things like chickens for poor farmers or lessons for girls who are in places where females are denied education. It may be a stupid idea or not even possible but I am posting it just in case.
