Hi,
I want to help my teeth (remineralize, remove tartar/calcium deposits) through vitamin K1 supplementation. Do you have a clue how much is needed to maximally activate the matrix Gla proteins?
Someone on the Ray Peat forum stated that 1000 mcg K1 has been shown to be enough to maximally carboxylate osteocalcin, but used no references.
Thanks.

Don't know about K1 maximizing carboxylated osteocalcin, but the producer of KoncentratedK used this blood marker actually as an approximation for his vitamin K2 status. However, KoncentratedK contains 5 mg of K1, 25 mg of K2-mk4 and 0.5 mg of K2-mk7. And he used multiple of these doses to optimize his carboxylated osteocalcin.

Hi just saw this thread and wondering if you have had any success as of yet with K1?

I can't give useful information.
I think only the inside of teeth can grow/mineralize. I suggest Westion A. Price's book or derivatives.
