Wow. Senescent cells and senolytics have certainly taken center stage in the battle against aging in the last year.
It has been at least 15 years since the SENS Foundation identified senescent cells as a possible contributor to aging. Finally there is significant movement and investment in this area of biotechnology.
LongeCity has long successfully supported speculative research into rejuvenation research and the senescent cell niche is no different. You might recall that earlier this year LongeCity helped to raise over $8,000 for the CellAge senolytic effort!! It was a LongeCity certified fundraiser and donors came through in a big way. Many thanks.
Now you can hear from the leader of CellAge in the LongeCity Now podcast. Mantas Matjusaitis is leading this search for functional designer human senolytics. Find out how he became involved in the field, more about CellAge, and how the research will proceed.
The podcast is coming up later this week. Please ask any questions ahead of time in this forum and I will be sure to ask Mantas them during the podcast.
