I'm starting off a thread devoted to sauna/heat stress and longevity with a question of my own. As long as it's on topic with hyperthermic conditioning or even cold stress we can talk about anything related.
I've been using the sauna for some time now starting early this year. Four times a week for at least 20 mins and some days 20 mins back to back with a 10 to 15 min break between.
I started doing this after watching Rhonda Patrick's videos on hyperthermic conditioning and heat stress.
However, I'm having trouble reconciling the contradiction that heat stress raises IGF-1 and Growth Hormone but still activates FOXO3. IGF-1 is a FOXO3 inhibitor.
How does this work?
