How is "N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine" and "N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine" related?

I've been taking:

 

  • AOR R+NAC SR ("N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine" 400 mg, Lipoid Acid 100 mg, 3 capsules a day)
  • Natural Factors ALCAR ("N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine" 500mg 4 capsules a day)

 

I noticed the similarity in the name "N-Acetyl-L...."

 

Am I overdosing?
