For a couple of years now I've been a Bulletproof affiliate; I'm coming to the conclusion that they either malicious cheat their affiliates or out of incompetence their affiliate program just doesn't work very good.
I've featured some of their products on my popular website for a while, which was almost totally fruitless despite sending quiet a bit of traffic to their ecommerce store and featuring their products next to other products from different brands that generated good affiliate income.
I featured Bulletproof coffee, which I do think is an good product, in my email autoresponder sequence for over a year. The link got A LOT of clicks but my Bulletproof dashboard showed almost no sales from it.
They change their affiliate systems and link extensions about once a year. Which is a clever thing that companies do to not pay their affiliates. The links still work for traffic to get to their store and make purchases but the affiliates don't get paid. The affiliates have to go through and change all their affiliate links. Which is quite time consuming.
Bulletproof's affiliate "managers" are standoffish to say the least. I've contacted them a few times asking questions about products and one time notifying them of a grammar error on a sales page. The most response I ever got was a very curt we're busy!
On his podcast Dave Asprey seems like a decent guy who is obviously making a lot money but their affiliate operation seems to have all the business ethics of an early 2000's get rich Internet quick scheme! I know a couple other people who pretty unimpressed with the ethics of the Bulletproof operation
I hear that his books are just 300 page advertisements for the Bulletproof products, that they are short on information and long on pitch.
Has anyone else had an experience negative or positive with Bulletproof's affiliate program?
