Hi everyone,

Apologies for bringing up this debate again, but I can't seem to find any answers that fit my specific situation.

Story so far:

I have used Concerta for a few years now. At the start, it was super effective at 18-54mg. Despite the agitation, dry mouth, anxiety, restlessness and fast heart (the list goes on) It did the job and allowed me to study for hours on end during my IB exam period. However, despite only using it occasionally (few weeks at a time with months in between) it has almost entirely pooped out on me. Nowadays it has totally different effects on me: there is less anxiety and no trouble sleeping, but unfortunately no improvements in concentration either, even at doses up to 90mg per day. Instead I now experience slower thoughts and a bit of brain fog. Lastly, I have tried Strattera, Modafinil and some racetams which were all quite disappointing. Perhaps I have built some sort of lasting resistance to the drug, or my brain chemistry has changed in some way?

Options:

Now if any of you have read my first post today, you will know that I started Nardil not long ago, which has interactions with ADHD medications. Thus I haven't used Concerta or Strattera for quite some time. However I may soon be dropping the Nardil due to ineffectiveness, and so I was thinking of trying Adderall or Dexedrine.

Questions:

1. I would love to hear from anyone that has had prior success with Concerta, but was forced to switch to Adderall/Dexedrine over time. Did the Adderall/Dexedrine do its job after Concerta pooped out on you?

2. Despite working in very similar ways, is it possible for one ADHD medication to be substantially more effective than another?
3. For those who have tried both Methylphenidate and Amphetamines, do you find that each one has a different feel to it, i.e. anxiety levels, focus and comedown?

4. Have any of you had success using Memantine to bring back the positive effects of Concerta or Adderall?

5. lastly, have any of you had any success with Nefiracetam/Fasoracetam for treating ADHD?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
